1999-2005 style 700km of Le Mans
The Idea:
Last time in Gran Turismo 5, I did a couple of spot races. Both related to a certain era of Le Mans. One was a 4- hour Group C race, which was popular enough to remake in GT6, but will not be easy. The next one was the 94-98 era of Le Mans, which focused on the struggle between the Le Mans Prototypes/World SportsCars and the GT1 cars, which the GT1 cars eventually won big in 1998. Due to the GT1 cars being horrendously slow, I've decided to advance an era in Le Mans, 99-05, where it tended away from scary purpose built street cars and large manufacturer battles, to a large privateer ending to the era in 2005. A good majority of the Le Mans cars in GT6 are from this era, so it seemed appropriate enough.Room Settings:

This is based mostly around the 2003 24 hours of Le Mans, but cars from between 1999 and 2005 are used.

Pre-Qualifying Procedure
This is the procedure to get the field down to 16 drivers if necessary.
Room Settings:
As stated above
Maximum amount of people in each class
LMP900/LMGTP: 8 (7 if eight or more people in GT classes)
LMGTS: 5
LMGT: 4
If there excess people in each class by the time race day comes around, I'll be hosting time trial rooms for the classes. If you do not show up to these, you need to report to me immediately and turn a lap time or you will be dismissed from the race.
Since the race would theoretically have more than 16 people, I will be splitting up the rooms.
All LMP Pre-Qualifying: Friday/Saturday before the race (depending on the weekend)
All GT Pre-Qualifying: Sunday before the race
Rooms will open 6PM EDT. Pre-Qualifying will start when all participants arrive.
This is, of course, set out to be the weekend before the race.
The room will be ran on a 90 minute timer, and the lap times ran in those 90 minutes will be recorded. The person with the slowest lap times in elimination classes will be dismissed from participation in the race. I know it's not very ethical, but if anyone else has a better way to decide the field... I'm all ears.
The 16 car field set from Pre-Qualifying will advance to the race.

Race day Procedure
Qualifying Procedure
Once regulation checks are complete, drivers are to lineup as they are numbered outside of pit road. Once this lineup is completed, I will call off the gamertag to go, and the person I name (which will be the lead car) will go and complete ONE WARMUP LAP AND ONE FLYING LAP. Once he first person is far enough down the track, I will let the second person go, so on and so forth. First round will have the LMP classes and 2nd round will have GT classes. Once everyone has completed their qualifying session, lap times will be tallied, and order will be set.
Minimum lap times
There are minimum lap times that you must be able to meet
You must turn a lap time within 105% of the fastest car within your class
You must turn a lap time within 120% of the mean of the top 3 fastest cars
Pace Lap Procedure
There will be a pace lap at 150kph/93mph. The pace lap will end with a double file rolling start. The start of the race is at the start and finish line.
Finishing Procedure
There will be a Race Finish Delay of 3 mins, but I know what lap you are on from the replay. Once the overall leader crosses the start and finish line to end the race, your race is over once you cross the start/finish line regardless of what lap you are on. GT classes should be wary of this and know they will be 4-8 laps off of the lead LMPs. Your race will end shy of the 50 lap mark.
After Race Photo
Afterwards, I would like to take a picture of the class winners and podium finishers. They will line up in a pyramid position. Overall victor out in front, 2nd and 3rd behind him (2nd on left, 3rd on right), and back row will be as follows... LMGTS left, LMP675 center, LMGT right.
