Further explanation of the theme:
Take the keys to an Australian car and hammer it around a track (El Capitan would suit it).

• You may submit one entry. It must be your own work and not previously entered in a competition.
• You may only change your entry once. When changing it, indicate clearly (please, when doing this, edit your post with your new entry, do not submit a new post with a new entry)
• Please mark your Final Entry clearly.
• Your entry may not exceed the poll character limit of 200 characters. If your entry exceeds it, the link to the full size image, will be removed.
• We recommend you use a free image hosting service such as or
• You must post your entry either as a thumbnail, or as a preview linked to the full image - see here for instructions .
• Previews should be no larger than 400 pixels along the longest side - be it vertical or horizontal - and should not have more or less effects than the full size image.
• Photos must be taken from a normal version of GT4, do not use any cheats or Game Shark codes to modify the game content.
• Please do not ask other members to choose your entry. Have confidence in your own skills and go with your favorite shot.
• The theme chooser cannot enter the competition he is judging.

Allowed Photoshop Filters:​

• Blur
• Distort > Diffuse Glow
• Noise
• Render > Lighting Effects
• Sharpen
• Other > High Pass

What you may not do to a photo.​

• You may not alter the geometry of the car. This includes adding body kits, stickers, etc.
• You may not add/remove anything from the car (spoilers, carbon fiber, intercoolers...not even if you use allowed tools/effects) RIMS ARE THE EXCEPTION FOR ADDITIONS.
• Nothing from outside GT4 may be added to your photo.

What you may do a photo:​

• You may migrate wheels from phototravel to in-game photomode
• scale (or enlarge) rims
• remove license plates

Great shot Turbo, nice tones. The car is too centered though.


It is hard to get good composition when offsetting the car in a portrait...

Good Shot Turbo!! Pretty clean shot, nice color tones, The car is in a decent position, but there is a whole lot of nothing going in the extreme foreground. A Tighter crop would change the whole 'feel' of the shot in my opinion.

That's true! Cropping of a bit of the road would give a better feel to it. 👍

The crop is just fine, the blurred surroundings give a lot of depth to the image, definitly a great way to kick this week off 👍

You know what Luke? Its allllll yours...since you were gracious enough to pick this up following my absence. I really doubt that I can scrounge up enough time to host this anymore. I'm really sorry to say that. I really loved hosting this.

Thanks. I just want to jump in and have some fun with Photoshop. Nothing fancy nor extreme. Just pure GT4 blur 👍
I took out the sig because it was very blurry and pointless for the picture size like that

Good entry, would be better without that signature, in my opinion.

I'll have to agree with Nenad, on speeddemon_09's shot.
The Signature being a car, with red text takes away from the shot. The red hues tend to draw the eyes toward it, and away from the subject of the shot. Also I think the car is far too centered.

BTW- I love the cuda, but as a sig it just doesn't work. I used to try and use a red signature and when I look back at those shots, it only really worked when the car in the shot was a stronger red hue. For a sig try and stay within light neutral hues, and keep it to text. You could have a great shot, but the sig can take the eye away from the action and basically ruin the shot as a whole.

I like the way you are heading in speedemon, your entries are getting better and better. Just be careful with blurring everything that's part of the background, and don't dodge those wheels to much 👍
