this is wayyy too harsh , even the slightest side bump which makes nobody lose time but you still get that damn orange arrow!

One of the reasons I don't race short races, a couple of taps and you can't get a blue rating, a few more and you are losing ratings. A lot of drivers don't care about that too and so you often get an entire field full of red thanks to them.

The longer races are much more forgiving, perhaps too much really.

Agreed, however, this is the nature of a sprint race - especially in slower cars and is the primary reason I avoid these races.
Everyone has the same disadvantage though, so just make sure you're extra careful when trying to pass as you don't have the forgiveness of a 10 lap race to build positive SR to makeup for the error you made.

Personally I prefer the 10 lap races, most drivers race really clean, and even in the last couple laps when things get a little bumpy nobody gets punted or anything - it's just light contact for the most part (especially with GR.4's).

Yep, one orange arrow, the rest green on a short race and got the white SR letter ...... then on some longer races had 2 or 3 oranges and still got the Blue SR letter at the end.

I wondered if it was as simple as 1 orange = 5 green for example, but others reckon it's more complex. So the type of incident you are involved in can mean an orange is worse than another orange.

I think another factor it differs is your actual SR rating.
Eg : At C rating you need 3 orange arrows for red SR and at S rating you only need 1 in lets say a 5 lap race.
The numbers are not accurate also.

in race A and B.... one orange arrow keeps SR the same at the end of the race. two orange arrows and you're heading south....
