2 player nitrous

I have searched for a clear answer and found not one. Is there a way to use nitrous in 2 player battle? Player1 has it but player2 gets the shaft?! Is there a trick, like going to arcade mode and turning on tcs to have it in 2 player? I did find a thread from like 2003 but there was so much conflicting data and a whole no2 argument, whatever.

I don't know, perhaps they disabled it to give a fairer playing field. I dunno, just one of these things.

First thing to check is your button configuration. If I recall correctly, you need to reconfigure buttons to access the NO2. Might you not have done this for Player 2?

I haven't played it in a while (blasphemy here i know!), but i seem to remember if the car is equiped with it, just hit R1 as usual. You don't have to change anything, just make sure the car has it.

But as i said, I haven't played in ages so I may be wrong.

Player one can use NOS, player two can't. There is no way to configure it.. Guess Polyphony missed this when making and testing the game.

Disappointing, but I still love this game. Actually, I can't stand nitrous in this game, seems like cheating. my friend that I race with tunes all of his cars with nitrous as a factor, and i still take it to him being player 2.

I never use NOS. I just forget it. Unless i'm going into a hard series and i need to qualify, then i dont bother.

im 90% sure that it does work in 2player mode what i think has happened is that the 2nd player car hadnt been equiped with nitrous in gt mode. Were you using cars from your memorycard? if so then try both using a car you know has nitrous in gt mode.

I thought of that as well. All of my cars are equipped with nitrous(just in case). Still no luck but it really doen't matter because track knowledge, driving style negate the nitrous. 👍

My Question should make this a little easier for someone to answer:
Player 2 had nitrous untill the buttonse were rearranged. when we did that it shows that there is nothing that we can assign to "Special" or "Ghost". can someone explain to me how to reset them?
