I really like the direction Audi is going with their car designs as of recent. I never liked the old TT, but now the new TT looks pretty nice!

Audi has to be very careful with how they are pricing the car and how it is going to perform. I doubt they are going to have it outdo it's Lamborghini cousin, despite the fact the target is the Porsche 911.
Aim for the Carrera S at about $85-90K USD, and they should have a winner. But generally speaking, I'd rather have mine V8-powered from the RS4...

Does anybody else think that the space between the side air intake and the rear wheel is too big?

I HATE the proportions of that car!
The rear wheel is FAR too rearward. It needs to be brought up at least 8-10 inches for me to even consider liking this car. It's a shame too, because the rest of the car's quite nice, but because the proportions are so off, I'm gonna have to file this one in the ugly category.

Yeah I agree with that.
The chances of us seeing a 600bhp bi-turbo version is very likely. This car is going to get officially unvieled in 59 days.
Why are the chances of a 600bhp version high? Because the next audi rs4/rs5 is going to 500bhp and the RS6 is gonna get 550hp+. The flagship will have to be the most powerful at some point, and the TT will get a 350hp version and that could possibly run alongside the entry level R8 if the weights down etc.

I think it is a very good looking car, but I would like the roof to be lowered down a bit. Quite interesting how its built off from the Gallardo's platform, since it should help make it cheaper to produce. I still love the Lamborghini Gallardo over this though.

If you're talking about the top picture, i think you are seing the hub, the disks are there, but are much darker (will it have carbon brakes?)

I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder and it's all a matter of opinion but I fail to see how this car looks any better than cars like the 6series etc (I know not everyone hates it, but alot seem to.)

It might just be the angle, but with the production modell the whole car seems to have been squashed down a bit, pushing everything outwards (rear wheel further back, grill lower, headlights lower). Even the roofline seems lower. Probably because it had to share more chassis parts with the Gallardo? It's not bad, but I agree that the concept is much better. Much more aggressive, too.

It stayed faithful to the design elements, but they're arranged differently. It's the subtle changes in the frame, the slightly different angle here or there, and the feel of the car is lost.
Compare the Alfa Romeo Brera concept to the production model. Same overall lines, same lights, same layout, but there's slight differences in the roof line, the hood, all of which makes the car look so frumpy on the road.
Don't know if that makes sense, but I think when we see final pictures -- at the same angle -- of both cars, it will be more obvious.

-no smaller engine than the V8 (no plans so far)
-power increase more than 5HP
-you will be amazed by the weight..."
