Whew... Ok, discuss...:)

Fat. Chunky. The front end looks pretty good, surprisingly, and I'm willing to bet the diving windowline will look much better if you're standing by the car as opposed to the conflicted way it looks in those pictures.

But the rear end is uninspiring... of course, when have Nissan FWDs had nice butts?

Is that car really as small as it looks?

It's supposed to have a longer wheel base than the b15 sentra. Alot of current sentra owners are not liking it right now, but are still ancious to see the SE-R version... (me included):nervous:

The longer wheelbase thing isn't saying much, as the B15's wheelbase wasn't that long. (Which was part of its attraction, dynamically) I just hope it's not any heavier. But what are the chances of that these days?

Proportions are a little ungainly, but I'm guessing only the bottom-end model will get those wheels (look like 16's)... why does every new car have to have fender flares big enough to swallow dubs? It's ridiculous.

Otherwise, the looks are at par with most compacts, not exactly groundbreaking, but not too bad overall.

SE-R? Hopefully... but if Ghosn had his way, maybe not. The new engines don't look that impressive on paper, though... I wonder if the next SE-R will come in turbo? It'll be a first.

Old Prius + New Prius' head/taillights...

Rear end of an Altima + Front end of a G35 + Pinched lengthwise by a giant... :indiff:

Oh well. At least it looks more like a compact car, and doesn't have an ugly a** anymore.

Looks like a deformed Altima. It's an improvement over the current gen Sentra's design, but that's not hard to do.

I sort of like it. It looks a little too small, though, but the Maxima styling is nice. That second interior shot looks kind of cramped...

The Maxima has the only nice Nissan FWD ass. It's uber sexy.

Nissan unveils 2007 Sentra
Source: www.leftlanenews.com

Built on Nissan’s new “C” platform, the 2007 Sentra features an all-new, standard 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine, standard 6-speed manual transmission or fuel-efficient Nissan Xtronic CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) and responsive handling. Inside the spacious cabin are thoughtful and useful innovations, including a 60/40 split double-fold rear seat, available hidden trunk storage compartment and available integrated overhead compact disc holder. The new Sentra is also available with a wide range of unexpected amenities, ranging from the luxury of leather-appointed seating to the convenience of Nissan’s Intelligent Key keyless entry system.

The 2007 Sentra is scheduled to go on sale in fall 2006 and is expected to have a MSRP starting at around $15,000 (nicely equipped with power door locks and windows, side-impact curtain air bags and air conditioning).

It looks like a Vectra from the front and I think the designers too a day off with the back. I don't like it at all really.

nitro_2005
just looks like they've take the front of a CTS and the back of a new Prius. Why?

Wow you are right, the front does look like a CTS...guess we can see who Nissan benchmarked on this one.

It's a combination of Vectra lights and the CTS grille.

The Vectra lights and CTS lights both wrap over onto the bonnet, but they look quite differet imo.

Okay, I retract my statement. I actually like the old Max' ass, too.

Looks good for a Mini-Altima. The interior looks like it's on a level comparable to the best Honda and Volkswagen trims available, and it is pretty well known how solid the Nissan I4 powertrains are.

But is it that much better than the upcomming Versa (aka Renault Megane)? We will just have to wait and see...

Pros: Maintains the "edgy" attitude that the Senta has always had when compared to Civic or Corolla
Cons: Nissan may have taken the Altima/Maxima design ques too seriously
Verdict: Better than it's predecessor, it comes into a segment dominated by the Civic with it's fists flying

 I was going to say sorry a6m5 your car is screwed further. So, I'll add in GT3man2001's name instead.

I think it's about that time Nissan start heading back toward the red anyway. We'll see how the rest of the cars go. :dopey:

I kinda want to see the SE-R version... Considering how good the Altima looks in SE-R trim, imagine how the "mini-Altima" will look...

Rumor has it that the SE-R may get the 2.0 Turbo MR20DET from renault. I believe that engine makes around 225hp.👍

Its.... uhhh... interesting, not bad from the back, and the front almost looks like a Caddilac CTS if you squint your eyes.

I love the style of my sentra...this thing looks like a warmed over Jetta / Corolla..body height and wheel size ratio is nasty...interior is nice, it does fit into the nissan family look now a little more, but it is a poor interpretation in my opinion...I wont by another Sentra if they look like that! thats for damn sure...

The 2003 was the last year for a good looking Sentra. That corporate nose they added in 2004 just doesn't cut it. Now after seeing these pics again it's rather obvious they are going crazy. Your wheel size ratio is spot on--the wheels look too small with the height of the car. You could put 18" rims on it and they would still look small and retarded. I don't care if the SE-R is AWD and Twin Turbo it still would look like ass. I'm a die hard Nissan guy and this car isn't very good looking--but I'd still take it over the defunct looking Civic and slow ass Corola.

I like the previous sentra's but I dont like the look of this one at all.

Nice if it gets the MR20DET.

Last Sentra I really liked was the early 90's one. One of my brothers own a SE-R, and I still dig the design. 👍
