I used to be a huge fan of the original V-Max. Actually had the opportunity to ride one, and it was damn fast.

All I can say is that the legend is back. Roughly 200HP, this is once again the baddest bike on the block. 👍

Except for those freakin' mufflers!!! It's like something from Toon Town in Who Framed Roger Rabbit, or something Jim Carrey would pull out of his pocket in Mask.

I predict a significant aftermarket participation in exhaust systems.

Of course, you have to compare it to the B-King, which it is specifically built to one-up. V-Max has always been a straight-line bike, where I think the B-King would be a better-handling bike, in addition to the monstrous power. Nothing sounds like a giant V-4 though!!!!! If you've never heard the V-Max, look for them on Youtube. I can't be bothered to point the way.

On the other hand, I think everybody's got it wrong: here's the new Yamaha VMax, seen at an outboard shop behind my office!

Meh, the exhaust needs to go. I liked the older V-Max better..... :D

I've always liked the Yamaha V-Max ever since seeing one in "Tourist Trophy." The criticism I kept hearing for this bike is that it is not a great-handling motorcycle. I would think it wouldn't be a good handler since it's a cruiser-type bike. My draw to the V-Max is its lovely and aggressive cruiser. I will grant all of you that the muffler is a bit un-cruiser like. Otherwise, it's a beautiful beast. An angelic devil. At least to me...
