The fourth-generation Acura MDX mid-size crossover has been unveiled. The design seems to follow that of the new TLX unveiled a few months ago: more athletic looks and styling cues overall, as well as a large front grille. The interior has also been majorly revamped. Available engines are the 3.5L NA V6, and 3.0L turbo V6.

These things are gonna sell like hot cakes. I have to say I like Acura's latest styling evolution but the core brand still seems stuck in meh-town.

Agreed. Also, I can't figure out why Acura still has no compact CUV offering. This is arguably the hottest market segment in the US right now. There's the China-only CDX, which would make total sense if it were sold here. It doesn't even look like a stereotypical Chinese-market car and probably would do quite well here.

CDX is based on the Fit platform, Honda would have had to find a plant to build one if they decided to sell the CDX here. Well they don't even have Fit here anymore.

It exists only in Japan. We're not getting the new Fit here, in Australia.

Even if it's not the existing CDX, my point still stands; Acura should probably come out with a compact CUV for US.

Yeah I see the Mazda range. Only the CX-9 is longer than the RDX. I'm kind of curious how much space the CX-3 has now. It's gotta be pretty tight.

CX-3 is about Yaris rear passenger room. Definitely tight. It's stadium seating. The front seats are perfect in comfort and space. Like the Mazda2.

A friend of mine has one...the interior dimensions are quite similar to my old Mazda2. It's...snug.
