The Horch marque, synonymous with ultra-luxurious vehicles, has been brought back by Audi after a hiatus of over 80 years. The all new Horch A8L is an uber-premium, uber-expensive sedan based on the Audi A8, and intended to compete with the Maybach-Mercedes S 680.

Differentiating it from the normal A8L, the Horch features a wheelbase that is eight inches longer, a modified chrome grille, digital matrix LED headlights, 20-inch rims reminiscent of those from the Bentley Flying Spur, special Horch badging throughout the exterior and interior, redesigned OLED taillights, two-tone paint schemes, diamond-quilted leather, extra-soft cushioning, thick carpeting, all-around speaker system, and a host of semi-autonomous driving features. Pricing has not yet been unveiled.

Unfortunately, what's not so luxurious is the powertrain. The only engine unveiled thus far is a hybrid 3.0L V6 making 335hp. This is in contrast to the V8-powered A8 and A8L.

The Horch will go on sale in China and Europe, but will not be offered in the United States, according to an Audi spokesperson. It is also unclear if any other Horch-badged vehicles will be released besides the A8.

I actually kinda like how the Horsh A8L looks inside and outside. Not a fan of the touchscreen focused dashboard though.

That nose is horrific. And, it's still just a trim level. It's not truly bespoke like the Bentley or Royce options.

It's a step below a Flying Spur/Ghost, yes. The Horch is supposed to be the equivalent of Mercedes' Maybach S-Class.

No style at all. May as well put a cooler and some fluffy pillows in the back of an S8.

It‘s not hate. I can see how a long wheelbase 300SEL, Nearly looks no different than a basic 300 SEL. When someone is wealthy, the outside doesn’t have to look flash. A normal Lincoln limo is nothing special on the outside. All the play play are on the inside. I get all that.
The grill looks like the face of a h7nter from Resident Evil and the rear reminds me of a Taurus SHO or any recent Ford sedan. I guess theres only so much designers can do today, but it’s just got no flavour and I can dig a cool Audi. Not feeling this one.
