I watched the Throttle House review and they were disappointed to find that it has the same vague steering as the previous generation, which I echo.

Y'know, the first few I saw were grey and black- really didn't care much for them. Then I saw a white one, caught my eye and it kinds grew on me a bit. And then I saw this one...

I must say, she does look good in red... then I made the mistake of sitting inside. I don't care about the stupid stapled-on afterthought screens. I don't care about the near-preposterous grille. Yes, it's too big and too heavy. I love that car.

When small companies like Flyin' Miata go through the process to get an EO number to sell turbocharger and supercharger kits in CA, but Ford and Whipple, two massive OEMs, can't be bothered. Feels like a marketing move to me. "Our supercharger is so rad, you can't even sell it in California!"

edit: This press release from late last year (from Ford) seems to indicate that it is CARB compliant (meaning it would be legal in CA). I can't find a current press release on this topic, but I wonder if they are in the process of getting the EO number and it will initially be 49-state available until that is complete.

While I’m watching the 2024 Mustang Challenge race, the race liveries on the cars is making me see a bit of connection to the 1970 Trans-Am Mustang, in the nose. Wonder if that’s the look Ford were referencing.

4 door Mustang being considered. Hopefully estate is being considered too :)
From the article:
“We will never build a Mustang that isn’t a Mustang,” he insisted. “For instance, there will never be room for a small, two-row Ford SUV with a Mustang badge stuck on it."

Umm....

Four door I'm cool with. Hybrid or electric two or four door car we're all fine with. But the Mach E is literally a &$%ing small two row SUV with horse logos glued all over it.

It might be smallish for an SUV, but its within 3 inches of the current Mustangs length, so it is at least Mustang-sized.

A lot of people are going to hate but I see no reason that this battleship shouldn't exist:

There were multiple great renders of the previous generation as well.

Man Ford's CEO sure talked an awful lot of 🤬 for the past year and a half for their best attempt on the rented track with an army of factory engineers to be barely 4 seconds faster than the ten year old Viper with 170 less HP which was crowdfunded to do the three timed laps squeezed out between regular drivers using the course before the car blew a tire and crashed.

According to Wiki, that's slower than the last generation GT3 RS (6:56.4).

Edit* If the C8 ZR1 blitzes pass this thing, Chevy is going to have a field day in marketing.
