Mercedes-Benz has made it clear that they are streamlining their bloated, somewhat perplexing lineup. With this comes the discontinuation of the C and E Class coupe/convertible models, instead being replaced by the CLE, which is in between the size and price of the C and E Class. Despite having "E" in the name, it will not be an electric vehicle, and will continue to use gasoline-powered engines like its predecessors.

lol wasn't that the CLK? Not sure why they wouldn't just bring back that nameplate. The CLK-63 Black and CLK GTR gave the name some real prestige, something the following E & C coupes never quite matched. CLE doesn't sound particularly interesting nor informative.
