Chauvin was sentenced to 21 years for violation of federal civil rights law resulting in Floyd's death. Chauvin was also sentenced in Minnesota to 22.5 years for the murder of George Floyd. Trump can't touch the Minnesota conviction.

I expect Trump may want to commute Chauvin's sentence to garner support from the "back the blue" crowd. That support ought to be imperiled by the Fake Bake pedo bitch having previously granted clemency to a cop killer whose attorney was the wife of DJTJ attorney Alan Futerfas, but it's unlikely to be as the vermin don't really care about cops and only care that cops can violate the rights of members of disfavored groups with impunity.

Whilst i agree that the Democrats should be above pulling this kind of stunt, i also think its good they've grown a pair and are now happy to play the Republicans at their own game. For a change. Sticking to their principles, as honorable as it may be, didn't help them win the election against an opposition party clearly lacking a moral code.
I think it just shows how broken the whole system is if sticking to ones principles as a politician is considered a bad move. I mean, everyone knows this already and arguably Trump is as popular as he is partly because he vocally says the system is broken and needs to be changed. He's not wrong, it's just that the ways in which he wants to change it are horrific and somehow worse.

How far do you go in becoming your opponent in order to defeat them? Because at some point, you become the problem. If the Democrats just start doing all the stuff the Republicans would have done that doesn't change anything except for the colour of the boot leather you get to lick.

Hope you're lucky and that your despot is an enlightened one. Send a million thoughts and prayers and wish for a dictator who uses his powers for good rather than evil.

If they didn't have double standards, they wouldn't have any standards at all. Which is ironically, also a classic projected line by conservatives towards liberals.

Damn, Trump fans will have to start getting the defense lines in earlier than expected.

He's not in office yet and has already backtracked on one of his biggest campaign tentpoles. Sorry guys, in a move that will shack no-one with a brain, he's not going to be bringing prices down.

Maybe he meant buying the entire grocery store, you know since everyone needs to own their own Safeway, would come down in price!

We were always at war with government intervention in the market.

Good thing his cult watches Fox News.

"Hannity: Why this isn't Trump's fault & paying more for food actually strengthens our resolves as Americans b/c I'm 4 feet deep in orange spray tan".

We don't have Safeways here.

Can the Kennedy Curse catch up with this asshole? What Brainworm is advocating here is potentially killing millions of kids.

I really don't want to have to go to Canada to get my son vaccinated so he doesn't die of a perfectly preventable disease.
I can't remember if it was a news story or not, but I recall fairly recently, discussion elsewhere that this anti-vaccine rhetoric coming from a government position would only result in Europe (mostly) putting even more distance between us & them as future US travelers might require proof of vaccination to avoid super spreading throughout the continent.

Just tell them Mexicans don't get vaccinated and that their illegalz are spreading diseases amongst the US and you'll probably get them to change their tune.
