206 Cup

Ok, I searched the forum and I am surprised to see there were no matches found, considering this is one of the hardest races I've ever been in.

So I bought a 206 RC and installed everything including a Stage 3 Turbo and weight reduction, and even Nitrous, but I still can't get ahead of the 5th opponent I did the same with the Speedster race in Opel and I did eventually win.

Does anyone have setting suggestions I could use or give me hints on how to win this? This is the only showroom race I have left....

Try the 200pt thread here; I haven't read it all but it should give you possible lineups and tips for the race. In fact it says it can be won for 200pts with

Most if not all Peugeots with power upgrades.

Yeah this race is pretty challenging.My 206 rally Car with turbo(Stage 3 i think...)had a bit of problems in B-spec mode.

The points came down from 200 to 190ish.

I'll try that setup though.

If it's not enough, review a car from MFT and we just might build you a setup that will defeat this event.

I posted a setup recently that win's this event quite easily for max points, didn't even need any NOS although would probably have made it even easier.

My setup:

Peugeot 206 Rally Car 99, Min downforce 8/11, Max Ballast, S3 Tires. NOS Optional, I didn't use any nor have it equipped.

Adjust tranny auto according to track or to suit driving style.

I feel sure this has been discussed before, but in the main GT4 forum, not in the 200 A-Spec point races subforum; that one deals with the races one attempts to win for 200 points, not the ones that a normal player stumbles upon as being worth 200 points and being very hard to win. There, the players tend to be experienced enough to find races like this pretty basic, even when they really aren't. First (assuming you don't have the money to buy the rally car like nemesis suggested), buy racing medium (or maybe soft) tires, since the AI cars use them. Make sure you have weight reductions, but fully upgrading the power isn't as critical because most of it will turn into wheelspin (the AI cars are fully upgraded and they really struggle exiting slow corners). If you still can't win, then you should turn to setups that make the car behave better. 👍

I think I'll go with the rally car, I tried the setup and it still didn't work...
