I'll tell you one thing I know about Nurburgring. It's not Le Mans. To some, what I just typed is sarcasm and disrespect. If you don't read beyond this, you'll miss out on what else I have to say about the race. Okay, so as I said, it's not Le Mans. No exotic prototypes, no Formula One-handling cars, but what the Nordschliefe (coming soon to a GT4 near you! I only hope GT4 was actually SOON) track and race provide is a lot of cars. There's even a lot of excitement. I know from watching last year's race, that there are a multitude of competitors with all sorts of cars. I guess the Audi R8s of Nurburgring Nords would be the DTM racers I seen. I think this race is more of a Le Mans which feature wonderful touring car-like and low-level race cars. Laps are at least 9 minutes long, over 15+ miles, and of course, 24 hours. Now you tell me, is that a gut check or what? Not even the Super Bowl can compare to this. This race is pretty cool with all those entrants. But, the race is unreal to say the least.
Whomever won the race, congratulations to you and the team. I kind of want to know later who won, so I'll rather get away and await a highlight show, just to stay in a "who won?" frame of mind.
