Bram Turismo, Did you order the Flying Lizards T-shirt?

I ordered two of them, these ones:

But never again unless I'm wealthy

The costs of the shipping costed more money than the actual items, and this damn country dared to claim toll on it so I blew 70 dollars on 2 freaggin' T-shirts! :ill:

Oh well, I'll be wearing that design Porsche T-shirt at the start today! 👍

In case anyone needs it.

Agreed Grenade, awesome stuff :)

Also, I heard them say that Bob Berridge was trying to go faster down the Mulsanne than the 2010 spec machinery, did he or anyone else achieve it? What was the fastest lap in the end? I heard someone mention that one of the Jaguars did a 3'37s...which is pretty impressive! :D

I'm not sure but the fasted lap posted in this mornings 2010 free practice was a 3'51 by the #7 Audi, It's dryed a bit since then though. ;)

Also in this mornings practice the #52 Young Driver Aston Martin didn't do a lap, anyone know why?

I haven't found anything about this morning, but maybe they did not want to risk crashing/damaging the car.(?) Their official website says they were going to disassemble the car yesterday to check it over before the race, perhaps they hadn't finished rebuilding it this morning.

Hmm, reading the Autosport in-depth coverage of Le Mans I found a interview from yesterday with Tomas Enge. The reason may well be the same for today. It would make sense anyway. Apparently in this mornings session the Marc VDS was the only GT1 car to out pace the GT2 anyway.

Q. You didn't seem to do much running on the second day. Why?

Tomas Enge: I think we used all of our experience, the potential of the car, the set-up and probably the grip as well, all perfectly on the first day. We also set the car up for the race. And we only did one flying lap - I did the time at the beginning of the qualifying session on Wednesday.

We finished the programme on Wednesday so we only had to make a few small adjustments on Thursday. Pretty much every lap was out and then back in again. The idea is to save the car, to prevent damage.

Indeed. But it was good you reminded me of it because otherwise I would've forgotten and they would've been sent back to America on Monday. I picked them up just now. It's mainly the Norwegian toll services that made the price skyrocket, but oh boy do these look good!

Looking at the official timings from this morning they did 1 lap but it took 55minutes

Hmm strange, but I thought the 55:31.01 was in the difference section? Plus they don't have a written Session 1 time either. A bit weird I think, especially if they have only done one lap lasting that long. I'm more under the impression that they just didn't go out and tinkered with the car instead. Saves stress on the mechanical parts I guess.

You could be right, there's nothing in the Km/h column but if they had done a full lap in 55 minutes, it should still register a speed of around 15Km/h if my math is correct

Finally the Flying Lizards have their race face on, posting the second fastest GT2 time this morning, 4 days setting the car up as paid off.

EDIT: Already serious problems for the JLOC team. Transmission. Source in french (couldn't find it in the english version of the site, as usual the french is the more "up-to-date")

NO NO NO!!!. They can fix it, they'll make the race, they'll be fine!.:scared::ill:

Here's a rough translation from google:

"While we continue to report car trouble on the circuit (Ginetta Zytek # 40, # 73 Corvette, Corvette # 63 # 28 Radical), Lamborghini # 69 Team JLOC she suffers from a real problem. A half-shaft broke down and the team will therefore have to make a cross on the end of the warmup. "

Weather update as of 13:00

LeMans%20Weather%201pm.jpg

The condition has improved a bit, but rain is still likely.

They can race in rain but not fog, look at this forcast for 5am, 98% humidity and 100% cloud cover :nervous:

http://www.myweather2.com/Motor-Racing/France/Le-Mans-Circuit.aspx

Not good. It's already blind at night + fog = owh god!! The temperature is also very low at around 8/7°C so the drivers going to face more trouble I guess. Especially getting more heat into the tyres...

Also, if it rains at right before the start then they can't start the race right?

If its decared a 'wet race' then yes the start will still go ahead, even if half the field have taken the choice to start on slicks. these are the decisions that could win you the race.

Of course we could then have cars going off all over the place (probably the JLOC and JAG) followed by a red flag. ;)

Too slow with my edit

Fixed it for ya mate ;)...

1 hour to go before the start and the weather is still like before, but the temperature has been increased, with humidity dropped to around 63%. It might go up throughout the race though. We'll see :)

If so, that's a very good sign, Marc VDS's official twitter said the sun is coming out earlier I wouldn't be surprised.👍

Just a heads up for everbody with Eurosport, the Le Mans 24 Minutes programme will be on Eurosport 1 in a few minutes.:)

EDIT: Now.

I love the fact only 33 people (hello guests, sign up say hello) are watching the actual race and a staggering 148 viewing the GT5 at Le Mans thread.
