Wow, cannot believe what I woke up to. Looks like Peugeot made the exact same mistake they made years before, relying more on speed then trying to preserve the car.

Umm, never, because their first year with Playstation on board was last year and they won finally beating Audi.💡

Actually, that was the Pescarolo Peugeot with the Playstation sponsorship as the factory cars still had Forza.

I think they were preserving their cars, but just had bad luck.

Good morning gentlemen.....woke up just in time to see the 908 letting go at Indy, looks like I missed all the fireworks.

Same here...just woke up to see the end of the race and wenting for you guys posts from page 54:dopey: to get a grip of what hapenned during my sleep and I'm surprised by the lack of strategy that the Peugot team showed:nervous:

Sure they were faster seemed to had secure the podium finishes but forgot this is an Endurace race:grumpy: they made life really easy for Audi who get their revenge and secure a Great Victory.👍

Now the Oreca Peugeot is pushing hard to catch the 3rd place #7 car. Not sure that is a good idea after seeing the works cars failing trying to do the same thing and after the fact the car already had a problem of its own before.

The weather is looking good and no rain expected throughout the race. The temperature is 18°C with humidity at 68%...

I am really hoping for a rain to spice things up but guess that wouldn't happen period.

3'19:074 for the Matmut peugeot, fastest lap we've seen all week?

Really pushing it now. Looks like the all-or-nothing push to land a podium finish. I have the feeling that it'll break down just like the others with this..

Weather report suggests that no rain will be coming for the rest of the race.

This is the first Le Mans I've watched (I should be ashamed, I know:embarrassed:), and I must say I am very surprised it didn't rain at all during the race.

The most efficient, that depends on # of laps completed at the end of the race. So far there are 374, the record was 382- so yeah, thanks to the weather, the R15+ will be a record setter.

Another note, the Matmut is 3-4 seconds faster per lap.

It has managed to outlast the factory Peugeots so clearly, its the most efficient of the two diesels. Speed isn't necessary to be efficient.
