i'm having problems on both 24h races at la sarthe:indiff: .
I've just won the nissan R89C and the nissan R92CP:dunce: ..from the tests i did the R89C is the best one of the two. but since there are so few that has got the R98C i want to know a good setting for my R92CP so that i can race the two 24h races at la sarthe:sly: . Do anyone have a good setting for this car and this track?:)

Well, this depends on what you have in mind. Are you going to tune the car (add power)? Or leave it as it is? I recommend you to leave it as it is, since that saves tyres. I can give a few things, but the gearing you´ll have to figure out yourself.
Tyres front/back
RH/RSH
Brakes 6/7
Springrate 10.5/10.8
Rideheight 75/78
Damper bounce 3/3
Damper rebound 5/5
Camber 2.5/1.5
Toe 0/0 (tyre preservation)
Stabilisers 3/3
Downforce half of max (tyre preserving and adds top speed)
LSD 15/50/35

Try this and see what you think.

Team666- I wonder if lowering LSD acceleration values would be better, as it would reduce the likelyhood of spin if you had a lapse in concentration under acceleration(as it is so often the case in long races :D) .

I belive about 5-6 laps can be done. This car is very bad for your rear tyres. If you want tyrelife, go for the Mazda 787B instead.

And luftrofl(?), I would say the opposite in this case. You are less likely to spin your wheels during acceleration, the higher (tighter) you set the diff. A low (loose) setting, may cause your wheels to spin independently, and may even cause inbalance during acceleration.
This is of course personal preferance, but since I tend to brake deep in to corners, and accelerate very early, I need the LSD set strongly. If you only brake in a straight line, coast through the turn, and accelerate in a straight line, you can set LSD very low. A low setting makes the car somewhat easier to steer, but since you actually don´t need much steering input to turn the car, LSD can be set very tight. Not full on locked, but still tight.

I used the Sauber Mercedes C9:)

Stock suspension settings (full customised but with default settings). I had ASM turned off, and to improve rear tire life had TCS settings of 8. Brake balance setting was 4/2, once again to save the rears. Used Stage 4 power, and had the "Increase Rigidity" (roll cage icon) option applied.

Transmission was adjusted with the old "tranny trick": Final was slid full right, the Autoset was slid right to 25, then back full left to 1 and left there. The Final was then adjusted to 2.970 for the straights so that the rev-limiter red-lined just before the corner.
(thanks to Zardoz for these settings):sly:

I know this thread is old but are you B-spec'ing it? A-spec wise you should be able to win with a multitude of cars, I've only experimenting with the Formula 1 for about 30 minutes last night just for fun. Tonight and tomorrow I'm going to try the LMR, 787B, C9, Minolta and R92CP. After 30 minutes in the F1 I had a lead of a minute or so. I had to pit in after lap 6(or maybe 5) and they pitted in after lap 8 but that wasn't a problem.
I noticed they never went very fast down the long straight in Sarthe II which I found surprising and disappointing; so I decided for fun I would trail them to see how fast they were going down the straight since some of the cars can do ~235MPH in Like the Wind but I found they only reached mid 210s or low 220s.

I'll give you a setup for all the Group C, Prototypes and LMPs that work on 24h La Sarthe. It's so there for others to use aswell.

These took me a lot of time to put up.

If you find any of these settings useful please let me know via the red tick.

Cheers

I may check out those files you posted T4 GTR. I don't need them to beat the course but I'd like to see what's different for curiosities sake.
I'm very pissed though, 18 hours into Sarthe II A-spec'ing I hit the light switch on the wall which controls the outlets and I turned off the PS2!!!
I think I may B-spec 18 hours and then A-spec the last 6 hours. Or maybe I'll A-spec it all AGAIN.
