Unofficial points are updated, probably no penalties, if there's a big issue PM me about it. Good race everyone, see you all next week at Fuji GT.
I will take care of prizes tomorrow or Sunday.

I had a fun time in my first race in this series. The F40 was definitely a handful in the wet, but managed to hang onto 3rd despite 3 spins. It was more a battle of attrition, I wasn't involved in much wheel to wheel battling.

Hey Ford-Driver, can you update the specs on my car? I actually made a mistake and over modded the last car I had built up for this series. Once the engine broke in it was over the power/weight limit :dunce:

Bought another F40 and had B-spec Bob break it in for me for 300Km until it stopped gaining power before adding mods.

New specs are 1125Kg & 555hp

Looking forward to the next (dry) race, my leg was cramping up from holding off of the throttle in this race

Was this before or after the race that you discovered being too high on power? Next week will be dry, but the week after that will be Suzuka in the rain. I'm glad you're using the Ferrari, I was hoping for someone to take on that challenge. I spun coming out of turn 6 on lap 1, then got into a couple spinners, I think you were one of them. Passing was very challenging, but it looks like everyone did it clean. The other two rain events should be a lot of fun 👍

No, my old one went over when practicing on Wednesday night. Built and broke the new one in Thursday for last night's race 👍
Was at 555hp before and after the race, so it's fully broken in now.

The F40 is one of my favourite cars both in the game and in real life. I know it's not as fast as its numbers would suggest, but as you said, it's a challenge.
To be honest, I'm not a big fan of race tires on street cars, so I chose the F40 to keep it interesting. Really didn't expect to be on the podium in a wet race with it!

If they gave us more race modification options, we would be running such cars, most of these cars are putting up big performance numbers.
From the American Lemans Series website: http://www.americanlemans.com/primary1.php?cat=paddock|14262[
GT - Grand TouringThe production-based, moderately modified two- wheel drive race cars comprise the GT class – BMW M3, Corvette C6.R, Ferrari F430 GT, Ford GT-R, Jaguar XKRS, Panoz Abruzzi and Porsche 911 GT3 RSR. The GT cars share many similarities to their showroom brands. With top speeds of up to 180 mph, these elite GTs produce between 450-500 horsepower and have a minimum weight of 1,145 kilograms (2,480 pounds). All GT race cars have yellow markings on their rear-wing endplates, mirrors and windscreens.
Most if not all of out cars are more powerful, and they're about the same weight, I'm sure they're using slicks so I believe it makes sense.

This race was just crazy, managed to quali on 3rd spot and got passed by everyone before turn one... Manage to made up some ground, only to find the big wreck on turn 2 and a recovering car coming right onto the racing line, from there on it was all downhill 5th for most of the race till the very end when Pope made the pass and I had nothing to answer the move.
Looking forward to the next round! And definitely looking forward to the Nurburgring race!

Yeah the 4WD's are always good on the starts, even more so in the wet. I'm guessing you hit the 22b, I hit him in turn 3, and the Ferrari as it was wrecking going into 2. I think the last race at LeMans will be one of our best races. The 2WD's should be really good on the straights, and the 4WD's should catch up at the end of the track.

Say I use the same car for a upcoming race but want to remove or add power/weight and still be within the .5HP per kilo rule would that constitute as a car change and my points would be reset?
Not sure if I'd want to but hypothetically speaking so I know whether or not to bother testing different power/weight combos.

You're free to do whatever you want with that car, if you want to build a second one, that's fine too.

Hey Ford, why do I have diferent amounts of points on the overrall than in the class 2 standings?

The class standings are based on the class results. For example you and I were the only 2 entrants in class 2 last race, so for the class 2 points, you recieved 80 points.

How are everyone's times looking on Fuji? Gonna be doing some testing there late night tonight...

I'll be on tonight as well , hopefully this track will be better for my low down force car, I should be quick on the long straight . Plus I love that track .

I have a proposition for everyone now that they finally delivered the ability to use created courses in my lounge. Everyone shares a track with the group and we vote on whose track to use for round 12 and move LeMans back to week 13.

Edit: you all have to make new tracks as you can't simply update your tracks without changing the layout.
