350z HP limit?

i bought myself a 350z (z33) edition, stock 283hp,

now i've tried various tuning methods from full NA tuning, to supercharing to turbo, and all i can get out of this car is 486hp! (that with using the supercharger btw), anyone know why i can't get this thing up to 500+ hp?
what i'm i doing wrong? should i buy the fairladyST version?

i also find that the "type" meaning the drivetrain of this particular Z car is not listed, meaning where it's supposed to indicate "FR", it is not. anyone know the explanation for this one? hence the game will not let me participate in the FR competition races? any clue?

thanks.

Oil Change?

nopes, that's not the problem, i'm got about 1000kms on the car, and have changed the oil about 3 times already, i dont' wait till the oil light comes on to change the oil, i think i actually change it more than needed.
besides, i know that in reality that car can push at least 700hp through forced induction. I just want to know if anyone know if there are limitation to this particular model, seeing as this car cannot be turboed more than the factory allows it to?

could it be, that GT4 isn't real life? 💡 in real life, all-motor tuned 2l turbocharged i4's and i6's can do 900bhp when you know what you're doing. but, GT4 is driving simulator, not tuning simulator.:P

good answer, too bad it's not the one i'm looking for, if that is indeed the case, but then again how is it that the 350z LM edition, is tuned to 507HP? no need to answer that, i digress.

Let me re-phase my question; has anyone who has played GT4 the driving simulator, not the tuning simulator :sly: been able to tune any 350z above the 500hp mark?

thanks:)

have you tryed any of the other 350z's? some may have more stock HP than others.

I'm not sure any 350Z in GT4 can be tuned above 500bhp. The Tuning Competition used the Opera Fairlady Z and I recall the highest power output I tested being 480bhp, that may have been full tune although I'm not sure. Can't say I've really looked into it, but I've never seen one read more than that 480bhp.

Not a terribly helpful post, although you may have just proved me wrong...

Could you tell us the exact model of that 350Z?

I used the base car and got 486hp/518lbft using a supercharger. I think that setup yields the most torque compared to the Stage 5 Turbo and Stage 3 NA Tune. Tuned on S3 tires, I was about to run a 7'0x.xxx at the 'Ring with a top speed of around 194.

The NISMO Fairlady Z-Tune is good for a hair over 600hp(~604hp, I think) with the biggest turbo available, which is either a Stage 3 or Stage 4. It's capable of over 55xhp NA. The car is darn light for a Z, too. I can't remember the stock weight, but it's 1060kg or something with a full reduction.

It's probably about as fast as you'd want for a car that you can't add a GT wing to.

Just as an aside, I assume the thread starter is after road Zs with over 500bhp? Not the race cars such as the GT Fairlady Z (whose name I can't remember, the one in red/white/blue livery and up to 900bhp) or the Option Stream Z. If that's the case, then the NisMo Z-Tune is probably the only way to go.

according to KY and PD, only 2.5l-3.0l 6 cyl. engines are good for modding apparently.

especially a certain favorite car.

nevermind what other cars are capable of.

ok I did some tune up tests to get the best HP and here is what I got.

All cars Had an Oil change before engine tuneing and were tuned at the Nismo Garage.

Z-Tune - 632
S-Tune - 475
GT4 LE - 485
Roadster - 486
350Z - 486
Z Version ST - 486

Some ones that you win have great HP, but these cars are the obnes that can be purchased, I didnt do the Opera 350Z, but I think that can go quite High too.

Go into ducks setting setups and find the 350z setup. =)

You'd probably get more accurate information if you click on the "game guides" link on this site. It's at the top of the page, up there ^. 💡

the fairlady Z tune can get to about 560BHP

did you read the posts, ive already shown the maximum HP that the z-tune can go, unfortunatly you were also wrong with the power.

Its the fastest 350z that isnt a race car, but I guess you could say its already tuned as you buy it, but you can add a either a NA Stg 3 or (cant remember) a Super charger.

Just about sums it up.👍

Face it, 350Z sucks...

It's probably one of the most balanced Nissans you can get. The Z33 doesn't need to make 800hp+ like an R33 because it weighs less and is more aerodynamic. If you could put an adjustable wing on the Z-Tune, it would tear an R33 apart.
