Fanatec CSL Elite PS4 Now Available in North America

In a couple days I'll receive my replacement wheel for the T300 Alcantera Edition (first one broke within 15 minutes of using it) - if the replacement goes out, I may consider this wheel.

But $500 and no clutch pedal? Ouch. Am I reading correctly that for a third pedal, it is $130?

Geez, the trusty gear-driven Logitech G29 isn't looking half bad right about now.

The up/down arrows on the paddles look really tacky imo.

I imagine anyone spending $500 is well aware of the which paddle does what :P

It's a pretty good deal imo, when funds allow, add the load cell pedal.

I pre-ordered the Wheel this morning along with buying the inverted Pedals and damper kit, brake kit ect. :)

Excited to see the difference from the g29 that I've been using for awhile now to the CSL Elite :embarrassed:

Ill have to post my own review sometime when I try it out :sly:

Thats what stopped me from getting a "premium wheel" it's about 800 for a complete set up.

I went from a g27 to a g920(shifter interchangeable). Can't help thinking about a direct wheel, playseat, vr, 4k console and tv though! Ironically the wheel would still be the most expensive. Smh

I'm Waiting...

till next weekend to see the Fana DD. And anxious to see the the reviews and comparison's to the current DD wheels before I make any decisions.

I really need your guys help here: i´m thinking on buying one of these sets through Fanatec Brazil, with the CSL Elite LC pedals and the sequential shifter H SQ v1.5.

Is it a good buy? Like, is the Clubsport line that much better? I know for PS4 this is the only option, but still, i just want to know the differences.

Despite the name, the sequential shifter is H gated right?

Hi there,

If you JUST will be playing in PS4 maybe the CSL Elite is your choice, but if you are thinking move to PC in a near future then the right product without mistake is the CSR, remember that all you connect via the wheel will be compatible in the console IF the game have the support to, hope can help you make a good election and no matter what FANATEC is the best product for many reasons. And yes wend you buy the shifther you have the 2 option sequential and H.

So make your election and see you on track!!!!!!

The CSL elite, (Clubsport Light) is the successor to the CSR Elite which was discontinued in 2013.

I have the CSR, still a fantastic wheel.

The CSL elite PS4 is compatible with the PS4 and PC.
For $100 more, you can buy (and I recommend) the CSR Elite wheel P1 which is compatible with all three platforms.
I guess the question is what platform is your primary, and do you plan to change or add another?

For an in depth review...

@PhilipsR is correct, at purchase you'll be given two options on the shifter. The H gate or sequential.

Thanks, i really liked ISRTV´s review, i watched a few hours before you posted and it was a great look at the features. And thanks for mentioning CSR-CSL, know guess i´ll stop confusing them.

Primarily i´ll play on PC, but i need something that works on the PS4 for GTS, so i´m positive now that the CSL Elite is the best bet.

I don't think Fanatec has a branch in Brazil according to www.fanatec.com. Not sure what sort of warranty you would get...

They are independent importers. Some people have told me about warranty issues, i just hope they don´t break too easily. I have my G25 since 2007 and it never gave me a problem.

It´s not the ideal situation, but it is what i can get.

I want to replace my Thrustmaster TX 458 for Fanatec so I can use it on PC, XBox and PS4. It is so hard to figure out exactly what I need. I wish Fanatec had a bundle for all 3 platforms with some Elite pedal set (including clutch).

That's no good. Just placed and order 20 minutes ago and was hoping it ship today or tomorrow to arrive by the weekend. They show in stock and website says ships within 48hrs so that doesn't seem right.

I'm so excited. Going from g27 to this wheel. Just didn't like reliability of thrustmaster and am angry Logitech is trying to double dip with the same wheel the g29.

Has anyone received the wheel or tracking?

Maybe they were waiting until they hit 100 units sold then bulk shipping and I was number 100, Lol.

I'm more excited to get this wheel than I was for the ps4. Cannot wait to experience the realism. Wife doesn't know price only that I got new wheel. Can't let her drive it otherwise she will know it's expensive. Lol.

Me too I was using my good buddy a G25 for all this years and just was waiting to Fanatec do this wheel I was so close to buy a Thrustmaster just the CSR is to much for money to play in a console, but lets see if worst the wait......

Yeah, last 10 days has been exciting. I haven't really raced competitively in 2 years. Been waiting for GT Sport. Googled and saw it was finally coming 10/17 more than a week ago. Thought man I need a wheel.

I watched maybe 3 to 4 hours of reviews on the Thrustmaster and G29. Read countless reviews about the products and why the Thrustmasters break and if I could fix if broke or if maybe it was user error. I was ready to hit the button and then I saw a review about the Fanatec PS4. I had seen the wheel many times but for some reason I never really paid it any attention. I assumed it was too expensive and out of my range.

I saw the price and was like wow that's only 30 more than the Alcantara package. I was even looking at the Thrustmaster TS-PC wheel thinking should I go PC. I was actually quite angry that the T-GT was $800. That's absurd as it's the same wheel as the TS-PC wheel which is $500 and I actually saw a like new one on Amazon for $300.

I didn't think the CSL Elite wheel was available because the owners thread stopped a couple weeks ago and no one every said it was available. When I finally made it to the website I was like wow, it's available. I thought maybe it was an error because even when I ran searches about it's availability nothing said it was officially available on Google so I contacted Fanatec who confirmed. Wasn't until 10 minutes after I bought the unit that I found this thread.

Sorry it's so long but maybe it will help others. Considering the TS-PC wheel rated close to the same as the CSL Elite and the T-GT is $800 vs $500 and the Alcantara is 470. This wheel if proven dependable is the clear winner. In my mind it's the G29 or the CSL Elite if you have money.

Many people who pre ordered the fanatec wheel didn't get any tracking information regarding the shipment. on your account on fanatec it would say shipped though it really didn't. When I talked to customer service they had said that the orders got delayed since there was so many. But many are just now receiving there tracking information email who paid the standerd shipping. People who did next day air have the wheel now as some are getting it sooner than later. Most standerd shipping arrivals are expected this Friday.

Excited to try this Fanatec wheel out. Went from the G27 to the G29 and now the Fanatec CSL! Just in time before GT Sport comes out :)
