Anyone come across the bug that suddenly cuts out all steering inputs during a race? That's not a good bug at all. This game should have her released 6 months later, or just built on a new engine entirely.
It is a shame there is nowhere to post a bug report and you have to come to the review thread to do it.Anyone come across the bug that suddenly cuts out all steering inputs during a race? I’d rather take pCARS with it’s bugs than a polished turd like Forza or GT. Don’t get me wrong, those games are good when you are just getting into racing, but they don’t have much “soul”.
I have to disagree i think GT has more "Soul" than both forza and PCars combined
I've had my T300rs blip and send me off track twice in the days since launch. It's rare but does happen.Anyone come across the bug that suddenly cuts out all steering inputs during a race? I wouldn't say 3.5 stars is 'harsh' personally! I think that's a good score for a game with buckets of potential like pCARS 2 but still very rough around the edges.A bit harsh. I guess fair, but I’d rather take pCARS with it’s bugs than a polished turd like Forza or GT. I think GT has always had a soul, and that includes GT5 and GT6. GT5 had such a charming menu, despite it being slower than a McLaren Honda (haha, very funny overused joke, mate). And I still felt that soul when playing GT6, especially when playing the Senna Tribute. The menu wasn’t that charming though in my opinion.A bit harsh. Hm...I would say 70% pretty much means a game is a pass. I’m going to see what GT and Forza get, but I sure hope not more than that.I wouldn't say 3.5 stars is 'harsh' personally! I think that's a good score for a game with buckets of potential like pCARS 2 but still very rough around the edges.
I find physics very different in comparison with PCars1 ones, in a very good way. My headache is with force feed back and wheel settings... I haven't found the good ones for me yet...
Tyres model simulation with Road cars is amazing, realistic and fun as it is in real life, that's the best part for me. Even if racing cars simulation is very fine and fun too.
Great camera effects while changing gears or going through bumps or with G forces etc ... it's very inmersive and accurate.
I only miss a bit more slipping in accelerations, maybe there is too much grip in the acceleration phase.

Some areas I thought were rated lower that I expected: Content I would rate 4.5 or 5, physics I would rate 4.5 or 5, sound I would rate 4.5 or 5. Again, if Forza and GT get 2.5 or 3 I’m those areas, I will say pCARS was rated fairly. We shall see
It is always nice to read reviews on GTPlanet. You know they are being thoroughly vetted by someone who is familiar with the genre and they always read as in-depth and comprehensive. One of the few reviewers you can trust to go beyond the surface and the talking points that many of the other popular review sites focus on.
I think 3.5 is about right for the game as it sits. I would expect it to raise up to at least a 4 or better after a couple of months of patching out the resolvable issues.
You'd give it a perfect score in 3/5 of the categories? Er, okay then.
What makes you think either would produce better quality? PC1 had an entirely new engine, which everyone agrees is inferior to PC2. And 6 months of extra QA, knowing that the current issues also passed QA? (Not to mention that you have a whole dev team that needs something to do too, a.k.a. adding more code) Better release now, have short communication lines and patch cycles and weed out any issues in a couple of weeks/months.This game should have her released 6 months later, or just built on a new engine entirely.
Same here, no game-breaking stuff. Still, people who do have major issues have valid complaints. 👍Maybe it's because I'm a controller user, but I'm probably about 20+ hours in and no bugs. Absolutely loving the game.
