Loving that one 3rd up! I have been playing a lot with geometric shapes in my recent stuff and that totally speaks to it! đź‘Ť

I've always wanted to have a proper website, but I don't have the extra time or knowledge to do so.

But I recently discovered this nice template for tumblr that I liked and decided to use it as a "pretend" website.

I also decided to go with the theme "f/1.2", displaying only shots taken at this aperture. So far it has few photos because, on my day-to-day photo sharing, I'm only now getting to photos I took prior to having the AI 55mm f/1.2 (which was in October of 2013).

From here on, it should have some more photos added.

As I said, this is nothing serious, but if you have any idea or comment, please do share it.

Show off :P

Pretty set on getting a 35mm f/1.4 as my next lens now, after I part ways with a couple of other lenses I don't have much need for.

What do you mean...? :P

Will you go the Samyang route or the "L" route?

I've decided to sell some gear as well recently. No more Sigma 15-30mm, no more Nikkor Series E 35mm f/2.5 (although I'm keeping the Series E 50mm f/1.8) and no more Nikon F80.
The great news is that I'm selling the stuff for more money than I bought them.

Great shots ! You using a full frame body or a DX body ? I'll need to try some shallow depth of field shots. I haven't used my 50mm f1.4 much because its a real PITA to focus with my body, the focus light is far from accurate. Do you think shots like yours are attainable with f1.4 vs the 1.2 ? Haven't really researched it or looked at photos others took with the lens.

First of all, thank you.

I'm using a full frame body (D600).

Answering your question, FX vs DX will have a deeper impact over depth of field than f/1.2 vs f/1.4.
Putting it in others words, you will get shallower depth of field with a FX + f/1.4 combination than with a DX + f/1.2.

And yes, focusing can be tricky - sometimes I need my time to shoot these, especially since they are manual focus lenses.

Now there's something I didn't fully realize , thanks for that info đź‘Ť

As always great images. I'm liking the processing and choice of composition especially the shots of car interiors. Always a pleasure to see your pics.

I really need to get out again but I've been so busy at work and then any time I get off being lazy listening to music etc.
