This is the discussion thread for a recent post on GTPlanet:

Normal people love 'em. They give all the benefits of an off-roader - headroom, driving position - but without the pointless heavy 4WD system, and because they're built on car platforms they're the same size as a car so you can fit them in your garage.More like Qashqow. Still think crossovers are pointless though. Nissan had a good excuse when they first made it, they didn't have a full-sized hatchback at the time. How they made something that every marketing department in the world thinks is worth a crack at, is inexplicable.
https://www.gtplanet.net/tag/road-test-review/I...don't understand why this "review" is on GTP? I applaud the site widening its horizons but surely car reviews need to be somewhat across the board and involve a number of reviewers, if the legit car reviews are to be a thing? I'm in or follow enough groups and sites to know that one can snag a test drive if they wanna, but how slightly surreal that the Qashquai staked its claim here. Lets see reviews of its peers to at least afford a little context.
Heh, we are planning some features, and certainly there's scope for vs. pieces like that. It's a little tricky for me to get two different press cars in at once for a couple of reasons (it's not fair on other minor outlets like us, and I don't have much room to keep them! That said, the snow last week meant I briefly had three in at once due to rescheduled pick ups and collections).P.s. are there any plans to do a test comparing different generations of a new car, say XJ (slight bias) or M5, or even Fiesta or MX5 to see how they have moved on?
That's sort of why I'm back here full time. I've been doing articles, tests and reviews for carwow, CarThrottle and, via a media agency I've been working for since September 2015, the Press Association, AOL cars, Yahoo, AA Cars, Motors.co.uk (you can find video reviews with me, if you try really hard and can put up with my voice) and a couple of B2B magazines.Wow... you guys are into actual testing now? If thats what you guys are up to, thumbs up?
A little wordy? Not enough pics...
I wouldn't worry, it's been a process. I didn't realise there'd been that many either; I know I'd done a fair few, but I didn't think it'd be 20-odd already!Fair enought, my bad, I've clearly not been paying enough attention as I hadn't realised there had been that many reviews.
Well... it's a US site @Jordan's site, so his rules; his color, armor, honor, trunk and hood. I get my own way on some of the units though - and we put in imperial, US imperial, metric and SI where possible to cater for everyone, everywhere. One other small thing I noticed though, why do you write in "American English"? Nothing wrong with that per se but just unusual to see from a British writer, and it got me curious.
