Forza 7 Thumbnail Leaks

Hey all, as I mentioned in the April DLC thread I've found some interesting thumbnails in the files.

I'll preface this two things:
1. These cars being present in no way guarantees that they'll be coming to FM7, or any future Forza game at all for that matter. Some leaks have materialised (for example the Jaguar XJR5), and some have yet to be seen (FH3's Jensen Interceptor). I also don't know if these were just added with the April DLC or a previous one, all I know is that they weren't there back in September to my knowledge. Don't get too hyped, but it is pretty exciting :P

2. A lot of these cars are returning FM4 cars. You might be thinking, "what if they're just leftover FM4 thumbnails?", so here's a quick example of why I'm 99% sure they aren't.

This is a leftover FM4 thumbnail in FM7's files of the RUF RT12.

If we compare that to an FM7 thumbnail of the 1973 911:

Notice how FM4's thumbnails are way more glossy, particularly on the windows, and the cars are facing the right? Well, everything I'm about to post is rendered in the same way as the 911, suggesting that they were rendered in FM7.

Now, the good stuff. I'm splitting things into categorised spoilers just in case you'd rather not ruin the surprise. The vast majority of these cars are British, suggesting there might be some kind of themed pack coming. Purely speculation from me of course.

Here are the returning previous gen cars I've found:
TVR Cerbera Speed 12

Morgan Aero SuperSports

And here are just some misc/weird ones (not new, just alt versions of FM7 cars) I've found:
GRC Beetle Alt Livery

As mentioned in the DLC thread, if that Fiesta GRC does come out, I wouldn't be surprised if they do it like the F1500T in GT Sport, with that being a debadged Lotus 97T.

Also, about that license plate on the DB5...it's weird, having a license plate on a car, in a Motorsport game, no?

Well here is what OP has to say:

Speaking of plates, another bit of trivia is that all FM7 cars already have their rear licence plates modelled for FH4. Opened the new XC90 model the other day and noticed it had the EU-shape plate on it, so clearly FM7 just ignores the plates.

You might be saying to yourself 'Horizon 4?! Doesn't he mean Horizon 3?' Well, no. The XC90 isn't in FH3.

So, taking a look at the Levante:

Yep, Levante will be getting the narrower US-style plate.

Could be some really interesting stuff. No mention of anything FH4 related aside from this.

I want us all to spend an afternoon racing P50s around the Nurburgring. Ten laps. Full course. Better mark out about six hours of the day to do it. It would be hilarious. And yet tedious.

Of all those cars, I'm obviously all in favor of the classics and oddballs, but I'm most interested in that Escort XR3. That looks like it could be good budget fun.

It doesn't confirm anything but it does raise a few interesting points/thoughts. There was a large influx of Aussie cars added in to FM6, almost as a cryptic clue to the location of FH3. It's a very distinct possibility that very few, if any, of the cars found here will make their way into FM7, but just like the FH3 leaks have shown, some of the stuff that was found in there made its way to the next game (the Stinger, the 124 to name only those two) It's starting to become a pattern and if we use logic, it could also hint that the Japan rumors for FH4 were pretty far off the mark and that it'll actually be somewhere in the UK... Again, this is just speculation and I'm probably overthinking, but it's interesting nonetheless. We'll see in June.

I'm going to enjoy FH4 no matter where it takes place. I've lived in England, so I know it would be a great location. Wales, Scotland and Ireland as well. But if it's not in Japan, that's going to make a large number of the toddlerati class very upset.

An FH4 map consisting of the whole UK (England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland), albeit scaled down a la The Crew's US map and all but about 15-25 cities and villages omitted, would be pretty rad. Imagine a cross country race that takes you through Stonehenge...

There's still no offroad tracks in Forza Motorsport 7 to properly accommodate these cars along with the many other offroad vehicles in the game and that makes me sad.
Well seeing those off-road body mods, there might be something coming either next month or June when they announce Horizon.

IIRC, I think the Bentley 8-Litre was a Forzavista only car in FM4.

Would like to see Mosler return, but the Ascari was a little favorite of mine, too.

Nice list! I would not mind driving them all. The Morris Minor I like since it reminds me of an old Holden. I also like the Speed 12 since I first drove one in Gran Turismo 2. I also like the Chevrolet SS Stockcar which is similar looking to the Holden VF Commodore.

Is it just me or will GT7 need a lot of variety with makes and types of cars? ;)

The Peel P50 and 007 AM are hilarious.

That said, a majority of these cars are British. I counted 12 British cars in the 20 total, then +2 for the SUV ones posted later, so 14 of 22 so far are UK.

Man, that Speed 12 looks wonky. Proportions are all over the place.

Online races in the P50 would be a riot. If cars get stuck facing the wall, will the driver hop out pull the car back? I want daily GTS races with the P50 now.

Ford Escort XR3
I'm most interested in that Escort XR3
It's actually the full-fat RS Turbo, given Forza's knack for providing flagship performance variants. Would have preferred the XR3i but any Mk 3 is a surprise inclusion, much like the Fiesta XR2 was.

With the P50 getting locked into an Isle of Man/BBC Television Centre expansion and the DB5 being used in some sort of Bond-themed showcase.

Imagine a cross country race that takes you through Stonehenge...
Cro-Mag Rally's spot-on depiction was immersive enough for me, thanks.

See? This is why you don't buy the car pass - you become infuriated with the content included in it and all the desirable stuff comes afterwards. :P

As for the leaks, these are a great find and hint towards some very interesting theories for upcoming FM7 content and possibly Forza Horizon 4. As said before, the majority of these vehicles would make great barn finds and seeing as they are British, that could strongly hint towards the setting of FH4.

I’m definitely starting to think these are FH4 hints. The oddball nature of some of them (P50, Bond DB5) seems to be perfect for either barn finds or showcases. I imagine the DB5 would fit the latter. Also makes sense how the remaining ones are some British legends like the Speed 12 and XR3i. What better a way to represent your game’s setting than to start throwing in some of their iconic products?

Either way, I’m now fully banking on FH4 being in the UK now.

What about the Civic GRC (Or just Rallycross) and the Lexus RCF GT3? Those were leaked a while ago.

No thumbnails and the references in the audio files (the source of the original leak) were removed in either the Feb or March update.
