So basically you shaved off 3 seconds by tweaking the transmission and suspension.

Well, that is the point.

I rather hate when someone adds parts to a tuner car. If you need to add parts, then rebuild the tuner from the ground up. I did that for the Mine's GT-Rs (and now I can take them into a room that doesn't allow Tuners, something I'll do with the Spoon Civic before too long).

Mind you, I'm rubbish at making it go any faster.

Yeah I agree. A car that a tuning company made is already built to perfection, so why ruin it by adding parts. But I can understand slightly tweaking the tranny and suspension.

Do you mean you took a regular R34 GT-R and turned it into a mines GT-R?

I love maxing out cars as much as the next guy, and I have a bunch of other tunes that I will be posting with varying degrees of upgrading done, but with this car I didn't feel any need to add every little thing to it. I enjoy sometimes taking a car and restricting what I can do to make it faster. I feel that it is more of a challenge to tune a car straight from the dealership without upgrades and still get decent results (which I feel 3 seconds is) than it is to just max it out and then tune it. Obviously not everyone's cup of tea, but for those that aren't about the upgrading, still something appreciable.]

I guess your initial post seemed to come across with a little skepticism since there weren't any upgrades done to the car besides what was needed to make the adjustments. Sorry to jump to the defense so quick. :)

So do either of you think you will be trying this out? :D

As close as I can get. I'm still playing around with matching the power curve. And I obviously can't get the aerokits to match (tuners get to cheat :( ). But I'm taking a couple of '02 R34 and trying to get them to match the Mine's BNR34 Skyline GT-R N1 Base '06 and BNR34 Skyline GT-R V-Spec N1 Base '00.

If you are interested, then I'll post them. Though, won't be around much this weekend, so it may be Wednesday or so (have a race on Tuesday).

Not to completely hijack the thread.

Yes, I think I will try this out. This is one of those cars (the C12 being another one) that I absolutely love offline. But, I rarely do anything offline (what's the point, I'm an online snob). But this car just goes crazy every now and then online. I'm interested in trying this to see if it tames it.

Honestly I haven't even gotten into online yet, have heard too many horror stories. I need to just jump in and try and find a good group to race with tho. I love hot lapping and tuning, so offline suffices for now. Although online has begun calling. I do love this car though, used it in the Grand Valley 300km. Thoughts would be appreciated, and don't hold back! :D

So then, anyone interested in trying this out? I have it shared online, so you only need to add me and take her for a spin.
