In love with this game since 3 weeks and never booted GT Sport anymore. I hope they bring the Senna to this game!
Removing loot crates is great news. Some people get lured in by the slot machine psychological tricks but for me, I hate them.
Hopefully Polyphony follows suit and removes the daily spin from GT Sport or its sequel.
I just don’t like being a pawn to the unknown devices of the RNG gods. And if somebody dangles a carrot in front of me, my first reaction is to go in the other direction!I honestly don't see the problem if there's no real cash involved. Injecting a little bit of chance into prizes in games admittedly pads out play time — I remember re-running series in GT3 to get a prize car I wanted — but, at least for me, it's never felt like an insidious plot.
On one hand, having the same set prizes for every milestone in a game makes it easy to write strategy guides, or to plan your way through a racing game's campaign mode. But having a different prize each event also forces players to adapt their plan of attack. Both approaches have their benefits.

With FM8 not likely next year, I'm REALLY REALLY hoping that we will get an updated IndyCar, and possibly a couple of oval tracks like Iowa or Pocono that will give us IndyCar fanatics a nice new spark.
Yup, the second one has yet to be released or talked about for that matter. Would be nice if we get this thing already, it's been 3 months since the last pack.Weren’t they supposed to released 2 additional car packs? I think we only received one of them, if I can recall.
Loot crates were paid for with in-game credits though. While I'm glad they're going, they didn't cost anything in terms of real world money and had nothing to do with microtransactions. That comparison is seriously flawed. The "daily spin" has nothing at all to do with micro transactions or loot crates. It is just a way to reward players that put in miles every day. It doesn't cost anything, and there is no way for you to purchase daily spins.

https://ar12gaming.com/articles/forza-7-prize-cratesHowever, that doesn’t rule out the addition of microtransactions in Forza Motorsport 7 in the future, as Ekberg didn’t clarify whether the Prize Crates would remain exclusive to in-game credits for only the launch window or the entire lifespan of the title. History tells us that Forza always tends to launch without microtransactions, but add them via purchasable ‘Tokens’ in future updates. For example, Forza Horizon 2, Forza Motorsport 6, and Forza Horizon 3, all received microtransactions in post-launch updates, but they can be disabled within the menus.
I don't know. This sounds like precrime or thought crime to me. How about criticising Turn 10 for things they actually did wrong?T10 had the benefit to see player backlash at EA (and other publishers) for Loot Crates in SWBF2 as an example, and they simply never implemented a way to pay real money for the crates but, it's kind of obvious that they were intending to do just that. Many of the people complaining about the crates being a microtransaction device simply seen through T10's denial that they were for microtransactions. And I see it that way as well. If it walks like a Duck and, quacks like a Duck; you know?
Many of the people that complained about the crates and microtransactions were simply misinformed. Plain and simple. If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, but it's actually a dog, we should still call it a dog. Many of the people complaining about the crates being a microtransaction device simply seen through T10's denial that they were for microtransactions. Yeah it has man, the July pack with the McLaren 720s was the last one. Although since then they have been sticking with the monthly free spotlight cars...but still. Come onOh Wow!!! Has it been that long? They’re really slacking now.
Knowing that Turn 10 supported car tokens (pay real money to unlock cars) in prior titles, doesn't mean that the Prize crates were intended to always be free from the beginning.
Some speculation on this from an August 26, 2017 AR12 Gaming article on this...

I hope Forza can do with not only two but four expansions and make an Expansion Pass similar to Horizon 4. The new age IndyCar vehicles, possible inclusion of more WeatherTech Sportscar Championship cars.
The third expansion should be based off of Super GT cars, since back in the early days of Forza there were plenty of JGTC/Super GT cars and now we only have just one.
The possible fourth expansion should signal the return of Toyota, Lexus and Scion in Forza if ever that becomes possible, but we don't know yet with what sorcery is going on with licensing regarding them.
