If Forza games have such strict license lifespan, and if this Steam release is coming so late, does this mean it will only be sold for 1 more year or so tops?

Halo surprised me a little, Flight Sim 2020 didn't surprise me at all, but for some reason this one surprised me a lot.

Hopefully this is a sign that future Forza titles will launch on Steam, because I'm about done dealing with the MS Store.

Windows Store is still pretty garbage after all this time for anything but simple programs, so this is only a good thing. Wonder if it will affect the "buy it on PC, own it on Xbox" thing; but even if it does I'd say it's a net win.



Probably will pick Horizon up now.

My only concern is that the Steam release might invite "bad" players into the game.
I hope that most of the Steam players are good neighbors and not more cheaters.

Every Forza is for 4 years. It's not bad even for Steam. It's probably mostly about money and I think it's possible to buy licenses again if Steam will be OK AND no new Forza. New Forza is always main reason why paying for licenses doesn't make much sense. We don't know when new Forzas come.

If rumored H5 comes this year Steam could be just propagation. If not, H4 could be here longer than usual.

Like there aren't any now? Just last Thursday, in the Team Trial I had my own team mate in 12th position and lap behind trying to push me out in 1st place one turn before finish And I will not get into any more from this season

The uncertainty about when Horizon 5 comes out makes me very indecisive about just making the leap and buying out the damn game rather than continually renewing my Game Pass subscription.

Ooh finally! Been waiting to utilize my equipment to play this, and it hasn't been available on Steam.

While Steam is by no means perfect, it's still way better than Windows 10 Store tbh. However, considering I already own the game on XB1 and Windows 10 and that players progress don't carry onto the Steam version, I don't think I'm buying it on Steam unfortunately.

Always wanted to play this game. And I will be buying it on Stream as it's one of those games I've always wanted to play, but my old laptop never had enough power to run it at even Low settings.
