I had similar frustrations, but luckily there were only four of us and barely got it done on first try. We went 1-2-9-10 in both first two races, which was barely enough for wins. The AI was very OP in the final race which we lost mightily. So better get it done in the first two races. I used regular Ford RS200 with my own tune (not sure if I've shared it or not, my GT: NuttyLittleBoy).Anyone any advice for 'The Trial' this week?
Cannot seem to find a lobby with racers that can beat the drivatar's and getting a bit frustrated on my third day of trying this event, am using the MG Metro as it's the only car I have that I can be competitive with but not sure if I can adjust the tune for this race or not as it's currently stock but
seems to be holding up well otherwise.
I used the Subaru #199 from the Welcome Pack and can easily beat drivatars on the first two races. The third race is so hard that I can't win even in solo no matter what combo.Anyone any advice for 'The Trial' this week?

So my advice is just quit if you can't win the first two races. I did the Trial 5 times today and we won 3 times. I was surprised we managed to win 3 times since a lot of players complain about the difficulty.
Edit: Autumn would be my favorite season if it wasn't for those damn hay bales..
I've given up on this week's Trial. Tried 3 different cars, must've done it 15 times now. The opposition cars just seem too capable. In my last attempt, I won the first two races and was second in the last race, but the team still lost.
Yeah, it need to be S1 class.@strela it ain't giving me the option to use the 199 Subaru so I presume I need to 'de tune' it for the event, any tips there?

Uff, now I really don't know why I'm so lucky with this Trial. Not sure if it will help, but here are the tunes I'm using for both Subaru #199 (205 486 932) and Subaru #199 WP (562 969 942).
S1 cross country is always difficult, the drivatars seem to have super human abilities. I was able to win with the hoonigan escort, but that one is a handful to drive, the best is the Ford RS200, which was easier to win in (I have it shared, DeliriousRex5).Anyone any advice for 'The Trial' this week?

The biggest problem however is to have capable team mates, I did it with a friend in convoy and even so we did it at second try. If you need help, let me know.
Code for my Ford RS200 tune 676 287 177. I know there isn't much time left, but if everything else fails, feel free to try it out. I won first two races with it and placed 3rd in the the last race. Will do, I should be able to get it this time though all being well.

Hopefully Forza Horizon 5 will have less exclusives than that and less teaming up with random people to win at the highest difficulty.
At the very least, the first time a new car is added, it's never locked behind the Trial event. Of course, if a player wasn't playing the game that week, then that doesn't matter, but there's at least one guaranteed opportunity given to win the new content playing solo.
The intention of the 'hard to find' cars is presumably to keep players coming back, which justifies being able to add the cars at no real-world monetary cost to the players. There's obviously a better compromise possible than the current system though, and perhaps the 'backstage pass' idea is hopefully a step in the direction they're considering, and allowing players to select their prize instead of having to spot the correct week to win it.
