Pre-recorded. In fact I think the races are this weekend, but I wouldn't be sure enough about that to put it in the article.

I did notice it's down to 14 in Nations, from 16 though.

Neither of them were at the 2020 Nations Cup Finals so didn't qualify for Nations Cup here. Both were in the 2020 Manufacturers Series Finals but as the World Series 1 Manufacturers Series only has 1 driver per Manufacturer, and using whatever bizzaro selection process PD used, neither make it in this competition either.

It might be as simple as they changed Manufacturer from the World Finals to now. Or it could be immensely more complicated than that.

Yup. Hizal's now at Nissan (on his TRL_MH16 account from the finals) instead of Subaru, and Fraga's now at Toyota instead of Honda, so neither are eligible for Manufacturers.

Thing is, don't the points from WS1 & 2 count to the overall points total in the final? Way to screw over people changing manufacturers between seasons PD.

They do. In both Nations and Manufacturers, the top three in each event get 3, 2, and 1 point respectively - though in Manufacturers it goes to the brand not the driver.

I mean, this was known before the season started. It's not like a mid-season BOP chan... wait.
