3D and HDMI/Fiber optic question

Hello there guys, how are you doing?
I've been reading a lot of threads about this subject so, I decided to ask.
I think the answer may sound simple to you, but I really need to get this clear.

The thing is, I'll buy a new top of the line Sony Bravia with 3D (passive sadly so it's not that top of the line jajaja) in these months to come, and my Blu-Ray player is, still, a PS3.

I've read about the PS3 not outputting DTS-HDMA or DolbyTRUEHD, but some users says that actually, it can output DTS-HDMA via fiber optic reproducing 3D.
In fact, I've been listening to the... demo, you can say, that you're able to listen via optical and DTS-HDMA on the PS3 with my Sony HT.
The bitrates are often from 3 to 10 mbps, not even close to the real thing through HDMI, but still is waaaaaaay better than traditional DTS or Dolby.

So, for the moment I have no money to upgrade neither the HT or the Blu-Ray player to a new one who has it all, playback and the sound, so everything would go the TV, but the question is:

I would be able to listen to "DTS-HDMA" via optic while the PS3 is outputting 3D via HDMI?

I know I'm definitely need to upgrade my setup, but I'll start for the tv right now.

Thank you so much in advance to anyone who may answer.
