In an hour or so I plan to open a room for a somewhat short but exciting endurance spot race that I've been running for a few weeks now.
5 laps of Nurburgring 24hr circuit with time change and weather change. Weather will be whatever pops up, while time change will be set so that approximately 2 of the 5 laps will be in darkness. In the dry, this race will last for approximately 40 minutes.
Cars are fairly wide open. Anything you want except for Formula 1, Le Mans Prototype (LMP and Group C), and the Red Bull X1. For clarity, the Nissan R390 GT1 Race Car, Mercedes-Benz CLK-LM, and Toyota GT-One will be counted as Le Mans Prototypes and thus ineligible. Any other car you want is eligible, be it a heavily modified street car, a LM GT car, a JGTC car, a DTM car, anything. Just bear in mind that this is an endurance race and that tire wear will be a key factor. All driver aids will be forbidden, although I will allow the racing line to be used for those who may struggle with the Nurburgring at night.
With the races being about 40-45 minutes, there will be a 10-15 minute break between races for people to do some setup work as well as to let new people in. This means there will be one race every hour, with I expect about 4-5 races being run tonight. The room will be open to up to 16 people, and the connections have been working well enough in the past that this has not been a problem.
