Spotted a 4C recently and a guy comment on my Flickr, "nice, but I'd have an Exige!" Next guy, "no way!" I believe a poll is in order to sort this out, and what better place than GTPlanet!

Exige all the way. I mean the 4C is one of my favourite cars right now, but the Exige is actually my favourite car of all time.

Both are light cars with small engine in the middle.

I can tell that 4C is much more beautiful and high quality. While Exige is much quicker and technical.

I'd take a 4c but I like Exiges too

I'd have the Exige but there not really competitiors, the 4C is more of an Evora rival.
A sporty yet comfortable, understated car vs. a car that seals the engine bay shut because hinges are to heavy?

Good point. Gotta say though I'd still have a 4C if I had to choose, because I've not yet qualified as a proper car enthusiast by old Top Gear standards so I'd have to give the Alfa priority, and if not the track muncher the Exige is, I bet it would still be great on twisty roads.

Brisk Sunday morning drive and stopping for a Cappuccino on the way = 4C

Hanging it out around Maggots/Becketts = Exige

;)👍

The exige production numbers appear to be possibly 2 orders of magnitude below the 4C. The choice is clearly the exige.

4C is too beautiful in comparison, it's enough to look past any performance advantages the Lotus may have. The Alfa's not exactly a slouch to begin with.

As much as I like the concept of the 4C, the Exige destroys it dynamically and isn't great handling the whole point of this kind of car?

As much as I like the Alfa (which is a lot) I can't help but be more attracted to the Exige. I'll have mine in BRG and those yellow tartan seats.

To me, the 4C has that tight track toy aura about it (honestly, this thing reminds me of an MR2 more than an Elise), but as the Top Gear race against the QuadSki showed, it can double as a grand tourer simply for the way it looks and sounds... if you can stand a bit of discomfort.

Think I edited that one too late. See last sentence, lol. Not only the power steering, but the thin seats, and if you're over six feet, the dash may crowd your knees.

I am 6'3, and the exige is my dream car.

The 4C is a bit of a confusing car. The curvy exterior would make you believe it is a cruiser but step inside and drive it, you realise the Alfa is better suited as a track day car. With the Exige, you know from the moment you see one that it is a track day car. The 4C is more refined than the Exige but it is still not the sort of car you would want as a daily driver (Porsche 718 says hi).

Says the Lotus fanboy.

Exige is my pick of the two even though I'm a 4 door person.

My dad's side of the the family hails from Italy...my inner Italian's telling me to go with the 4C! It may not perform as well, but it sure looks better than the Exige if you ask me.

Besides I've always wanted an Alfa, the only Lotus I really want would be either a Esprit V8 or an Elise.
