5 GT3 Drifting Vids

Just thought I'd submit my current 5... Top ones are newer, bottom ones are older.

I'm going to add a bunch to that section of my website on Drifting. I've got an old term paper on the history that I'm polishing up right now, and I'm going to make a general FAQ for real-life drifting, and a How-To for GT3...

My style in GT3 isn't exactly hard-core, but I tend to do more four-wheel-drifts than exhibition. I like to go fast.


All my cars run on stock suspension and sim tires. I don't like the feeling of the upgraded suspension too much.

Not bad at all, the editing was very good. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that each video was only about one car it just gets a little repetitive after a couple of minutes. Keep it up though; the videos are quite good and they get better from the first to the last.

What are you using to capture, if it is dazzle DVC 80 turn up your brightness, cuz in the first vids the FD is really dark, I don't know if its like the rest haven't seen em all.

What is ur setup (sim tires, or soft tires?)

EDIT: in your second vid how did you make the picture fade to black, did you just use a black screen and use one of the transitions?

Also what are you using to edit the vids?

Okay, so I need to put in more cars per video. Gotcha. I was going for a variety in most of them by having more than one track, but I guess I probably shouldn't focus on only one car at a time.

I'm using a Creative Digital VCR. It records in MPG2, then I transfer it to AVI where I edit in Adobe Premiere. It loses a lot of quality in the transition, and the darkness is one of the things I have yet to fix in the process.

I get the fade to blacks by doing a transition to an empty channel.

its off of Linkin Parks new album Meteroa (Came out on tuesday) Its called Faint. You could be a punk and download it or you could do yourself a favor and support a great band and buy the album! I'm just messing, but I really like the album, hope this helps!

I ripped it off my GF's copy.







And I get that quality by using an S-Video cable into my computer.

How good is the dazzle digital video creator? What kind of picture quality and resolution can i expect? I'm planning on getting video capture hardware, and DVC80 is definitely more in my price range than the $200 devices.

It comes out pretty good IMO, not crystal clear like on the tv, but it comes out pretty good. I don't know if you saw any of my videos, I would post em again, but too many people were downloading them so my friends server was shut down. I have 4 vids now, IM me at UBettaRecognize5 if you want em, they are all in the 20+ MB range.

I am sure if you use the S-Video on the DVC it will come out clearer, and also if you were to render it at a higher quality it would come out better, but my comp sucks so my vids right now aren't the greatest.

I am making one more vid in the next month, it'll be pretty long, if anyone has any song suggestions, looking for something between 7-10 minutes, with a mellow beginning and then an upbeat middle to end (I like to play with effects to make it go with the song).
