( I compared this 5 speed to a 6 speed set at 217 top speed. At first accel was a issue so i had to move the first 3 gears up and slightly 4th. My next run against the 6 speed ghost replay my 5 speed destroyed the 6 speed, in corners and on straights. My Best time so far is a 6:46.479. The RPM's are aprox what RPM's that gear starts, in the I guess you could say Dyno, looking to the left max torque is around 6,500 RPM's. So I did my best to keep 1st through 3rd in that RPM range but limiting the amount's of time's I would have to shift while conering.. Hard to see as I play in 480p lol but you get the idea. My other NSX's set for 6 speed gearing have the problem if A car stays with me the whole track my gears redline with a 6 speed. This new gearing solves that issue with a 6 gear overdrive.)

Beginning the test on the GTR now.
I assume these cars are tuned to the max (hp & weight reduction) with the exception of the ECU.
Is there a recommended tire selection? I typically use Sport Softs or higher for street cars.

The car I am using is a brand new 0/0/0 BMW M3 GTR '03.
I matched your tuning with the exception of 6th gear (read below).

Settings:
Nordschleife (clear, 0%)
Online
Grip set to real
No aides
ABS 1
Sports Soft tires
11 laps

Note: these are from my experience and how the car drives with me at the wheel. Obviously, for you, this is the optimum setup. So please don't think I am knocking anything you've done.

I had to get used to the car and, at first, I thought I was in serious trouble getting accustomed to the throttle control/braking. In some turns it was tail-happy wanting to spin out and others it seemed the nose wouldn't plant and I couldn't turn it like I knew it should have been able to. But after 5 laps I had all of that pretty well sorted out and was running consistent laps and sections.

The section from the Karussell to Wipperman was the most problematic because in the many consecutive turns I could "feel" the weight transfer wasn't quite right for me.
Some of the slower turns the car didn't want to turn in quite as sharply as it does at higher speeds. I think some small fine tuning of the rear Toe and Camber would correct those.

The car seemed to handle reasonably well over the curbs and the tire load indicator rarely, if ever, flashed.

I do like the unique gearing. They seem to be perfect, as far as I can tell. The only thing I noticed was 6th gear doesn't offer the setting you listed. The max is 0.751 where you list 0.768. This isn't a big deal, obviously.

Overall, for my own driving, I would tinker with the LSD, Toe and Camber. The other settings seem to be spot on. But, even as listed, I think I could trim almost 2-3 seconds a lap with more driving time. With every lap I could actually drive the car more and more aggressively instead of feathering and finessing my way through.
Good tune for me.

Appreciate the feedback, for gearing it might be a update I missed perhaps or in order? Gearing goes reset to default, set top speed, adjust final, and gears in order from last to first, 6th, 5th, 4th, 3rd, 2nd, 1st. Ive went with a 5 speed because I run NASCAR (4 gears). Now on Daytona I run a 3 speed and I use 4th for drafting, pushing or being pushed. I use to have problems on nur, gear wise I set it to low and no top speed for straight so I cudn't pass, or to much for more top speed but somecars were a little faster in the corners, my NSX Type R though I consider the best, still waiting to fix my PS3 so I can get my 550PP 5 speed LFA that is insane fast. At 550PP on Nur i've got 238mph in that thing drafting multiple cars. I use the tire load indicator too!!! awesome. I tried to make no flashing. but the very low dips where a problem but I got the suspension where it feels right. Good to know sports tires worked lol, as I run Racing Softs. But all your aids are the same for me. <--guilty controller user.

Btw all the cars are fully tuned and maxed out with all parts, then detuned slightly to fit PP restriction. The reason for ECU standard is if you compare I'm trying to remember off the top off my head. But racing ECU gives more HP but less torque. but when you put the standard on and detune power limiter you will notice powerband is actually higher, torque increases and depending on the car 1 to 2 more HP compared to a racing ECU. Try it. Its overall better. Tried this with most parts. Also The only car not fully broken in is the NSX Type S 01'. Its used with alot of miles and only makes 548PP but none the less can still compete with 550PP cars.

Hi, I am kind of noob, but would you consider changing the tunes to pilot instead? I think 550pp tunes can achieve much more with no aero (ie. more power)

I only start putting the wing on when I race with 600pp+, but with 550 I don't think any downforce is necessary.

Just a food for thought for you! btw the tunes are great. I used your settings except for the aero part and dumped the rest into more power.

No problem with that, but downforce helps keep the rear planted. If I would take the aero off I would have to rework the gears. No time to do it, I might give it a try but for somereason im a nurburg magnet for getting shoved off the road, the downforce helps, mayb DF at 10 will still do the job but at 0 DF you cant take corners as fast as you can with DF.

if any of they set ups close the 5 second gap between us on the ring herbie i'll be a happy dude lol cheers mate and the CSL set up will do meantime until you PM me the CSL set up you destroyed me with last night :tup:herbie

Updating the CSL now, new tranny and suspension. Just go over and double check settings. Will have your gtr back to you around midnight your time.

cheers mate i look forward to it lol and thanks for all your help again my friend :-) hopefully catch you around nordschliefe later........literaly lol :)
