Hello, I would like to start a Race series for FR STREET CARS called World Tour Racing. The series is regulated at 550PP. It will be on Tue. nights at 8:45pm EST. There will be a 15min qualifying session then the race will start at 9:00pm and last roughly 30mins. The series starts Feb 7th and runs for 10 weeks having a race a week, so it would end in mid-April sometime. This would be a points based series, and I will offer prizes to the overall 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places. The idea is to have fun after all this is a game. I will not tolerate people constantly cussing, talking down to others, or reckless driving. Please keep it clean or at least do the best you can to. Trading paint is one thing, but knocking someone off course is excessive.

PRIZES:

1st - a car worth 1,000,000 credits
2nd – a car worth 500,000 credits
3rd – a car worth 250,000 credits

Each car will have the following upgrades: Customizable Transmission, Racing Exhaust, High RPM Turbo, Supercharger, or Engine 1 and 2 upgrades, Customizable Suspension, and Racing Soft Tires.

THE RACE:

The races would last roughly 30mins in length so the laps of the race would be set based off of the fastest lap times set in qualifying to equal roughly 30mins. Driving aids can be freely used to how the individual sees fit except for the following driving line and skid recovery force are restricted. This will hopefully make for a level playing field for drivers of all talents and abilities. Penalties will be set to weak to discourage corner cutting and ramming. Mechanical damage will be off as this can often be unfair - such as you being hit by another car and then receiving a 'punishment' for it. Tire wear will be on as the races will hopefully involve pitting due to the duration involved but there will be no restrictions on tire choice. Boost is set to off. Grip reduction set to real.

POINT SYSTEM:

If a racer quits the race they receive no points, or if they do something that the group feels is unfair they will get bumped down on the grid which can be reviewed using replays.

1st place 35 points
2nd place 30 points
3rd place 27points
4th place 24 points
5th place 21 points
6th place 18 points
7th place 15 points
8th place 12 points
9th place 10 points
10th place 8 points
11th place 6 points
12th place 5 points
13th place 4 points
14th place 3 points
15th place 2 points
16th place 1 point

CARS:

Now down to cars. The PP regulation for the cars is 550. I would like to keep this as an FR only series, but if there is enough interest for AWD or others maybe we can make a class system. The fact is even using a PP points system the AWD cars still have a major advantage in handling. A racer can use up to two cars the entire series and use them for whatever track they choose. These cars must be announced on the forum prior to the series starting. As I stated before this is a street car series, no LMs, RMs, concepts, or any car with front down force. The following cars are banned from the series the LFA and all BMW M3s. As I said before I raced in a series on-line and we found that the M3’s dominated everything on every track. Cars must have rear wing.

TRACKS:

These are the tracks I had in mind for the series in this order. We start on the East Coast travel around the world and finish up on the West Coast.

1st week: Daytona- Road Course
2nd week: Circuito De Madrid
3rd week: Circuit De Spa-Francorchamps
4th week: Nurburgring GP/F
5th week: Autodromo Nazionale Monza
6th week: Cote D’Azur
7th week: Fuji Speedway F
8th week: Tokyo R246
9th week: Suzuka Circuit
Championship week: Laguna Seca

I like the idea. And i like the times. Just finalize the day and pp so we can choose the cars.

Im loving this idea. I've recently fell in love with griping again. I think 500-550pp is more suitable for street cars

Is a wing mandatory .?

Would also be cool if you had teams. 2 drivers per team with a team colour. Have a team championship also. its just a thought. i have to check the time also, it could be late for me as im irish and my time is normally late when most comps are on.

I'm all kinds of interested. I like the racing time you chose too as it fits my schedule.

I thought about teams. If people want to and we have enough people maybe we will. For now no teams. As for the time it would be like 2 or 3 in the morining for you :dunce: Also I think every car should have a rear spoiler. That way everyone experience a little drag and makes it somewhat even.

Awesome I'll put you on the list! Nice to see someone using an Alfa.

I don't mind having most of the driving aids on, but please don't run SRF (skid recovery force). I've seen really good drivers abuse the heck out it. And they are impossible to beat unless you turn on SRF yourself. Or maybe try to regulate it only for the people who truly need it to be competitive.

It's hideous and not as fast as other FR cars but I love it. Balances out the technical perfection of the LFA.

So I am pretty sure the LFA cannot accommodate a rear wing. Can anyone verify this? I am at work right now, away from my PS3.

...on second thought, technically the rear wing pops up on the LFA. Does that count?

Good choice for a car. I will put you on the list and take what you said about the SRF in to consideration. I have never used it and really have no idea what kind of advantage it gives the person, so I will check it out thanks for bringing it up.

superbikermd
You are right it can not be equiped with a wing, so it will be fine I guess with the stock one.

Are you sure? The regulations are the regulations. I don't want to be an exception.

Thanks! Pencil me in for the Viper SRT10 as my backup car.

It's probably easier to leave it up the individual on how the PP regulations are met. Weight reductions, engine, exhaust, etc..

If you're at level 20 or higher, you should have out grown the "training wheels" by now, that is SRF.

Sorry, I don't mean to barge in here and start making demands. I really like everything else. Track schedule is awesome. 👍 👍

I'm very interested in this. You should consider limiting the room to 12 maybe even 11. So you don't get hit by the bug, the racing gets really laggy. Just a thought if you want to attain the highest quality possible.

Anyway here's my info.

Edit: my cars will be white on white.

Which is it going to be? 550 or 600PP?

I'd like to see this series staying 550 PP racing. It seems...more natural. Less emphasis on speed and power, more emphasis on cornering and braking and throttle input etc.

SinisterClaw, I was in that tuning room with you tonight. Don't know if you heard me. I had to leave.

I used the SRF for the first time and OMG what a difference it made. It was like the car (no matter what car it was) was glued to the road. It was great and so easy. I am going to say that the SRF will not be allowed.

Ah I did not realize it was you, and I could hear you but not clearly. I have a two part mic system and one part is not plugged in so thats why.

I did some testing with the LFA. It is a great car one I was going to choose, but I have a passion for the ISF and wanted to race that more over the LFA even if it was not as good. I can accept that. Anyway I did some thinking and came to the conclusion that the LFA should be eliminated from this competition due to the lack of a rear wing. Yes, it does have a moveable rear wing, but that does not mean it creates drag. There are plenty of stock cars with a wing in the game that do not generate drag or down force per say, but once you add the aftermarket ones that creates drag and allows for down force adjustability.

Sorry dhrittme.

Also everyone make sure you go back over the first post and read the edits. The series due to popular vote will be on Tue nights at 8:45 EST. There will be a 15min qualifying session and the race will start at 9:00pm EST and will run roughly 30mins. The PP is going to be set at 550. Now with all that said our first race will be Feb. 7th at the Daytona Road Course. Thank you everyone for signing up. I am looking forward to the fun competitive racing the next couple weeks to come.

Question: so no weight deduction, intake/filter and ecu upgrade correct?

Hey it would be great to have you join the series. That is a good point about the bug problem. As of right now I do not think we are going to have that many people to create that much of an issue.

The cars can be modified however the drivier sees fit as long as it is at 550pp. So if you want to add all power upgrades and do no lightweight upgrades that is up to you. The only thing is all the cars must have a rear wing. I just did some testing and reasoning that the LFA's moveable rear wing does not count, so that car is out of the series along with the M3's.

Eliminate-away! It's totally fine. I didn't like tip-toeing your regulations in the first place. Besides I feel like the LFA is a lot faster at 550PP than other cars of the same point value.

So, I'd like to change my car selection to:
Car 1: Ferrari 599
Car 2: Alfa Competizione 8C

Thanks.

You got it! Again sorry about not responding in the game tonight. I was in the zone (what little one I have:lol:) and did not have the mic fully plugged in.

No worries dude. I do that sometimes too (much to the chagrin of my lovely fiancée).
