575bhp Volkswagen Passat R GT.

I don't really like the 2-tone front, but if they get it to turn, it'll be an awesome car. 👍

*EDIT* I assume the 4WD will be a Quattro system?

Well, VW likes to call it "4Motion" for their cars. But, in essence, they are very similar. Its just that "Quattro" is only for Audi, so they can't use that name. But, yea, same thing.

Too bad the Us doesn't get the RS equipped Audis
Uh, the US does get some RS cars. We got the older chassis V8-TT RS6, both sedan and avant. And, the new RS4 is coming here soon as well. So, no we didn't get ALL of the RS cars. But, it seems like Audi has taken notice that people here actually want them, and will buy them, and are starting to send them over.

I like it, but I like the Jetta R GT concept even better... Same AWD system, smaller car, nearlly identical HP figures...

Wow really? I've never seen an RS6 here, all I was aware of are the S models. The RS6's and new RS4 rock.

Now that's a fantastic looking VW. I like that more than the Passat. 👍

Vw and Audi both use the Haldex AWD system but there are some differences in Quattro and 4 motion.
That is not entirely true.
The Audi A3 and audi TT use the Haldex coupling.
The A4, A6 and A8 use a permanent, full time "quattro" 4WD system.

I don't think we got the Avant RS6. We got the sedan only (even if 60% of RS6's sold were wagons).

Feel free to prove me wrong though.

I'm pretty sure we got the Avant, but maybe not. I can call someone tomorrow who will know. A member at the club I work at has a sedan RS6, and is a huge Audi fan. He'd know. But, I'm fairly sure I've seen at least 1 before. But, now that you got me thinking about it, the one I thought I saw could have just been a S6 Avant with the optional RS wheels. Those have the same big fenders and buff look as the RS6, so it could have been that. I'll find out.

***EDIT*** Made a call. We did NOT get the RS6 Avant like I originally thought. But, we DID get the S6 avant. The guy I talked to knows the owner of the car I thought was the RS6 Avant. As I suspected, its just an S6 Avant with the RS wheels and some other trim bits. Looks nice. But, either way, I do stand corrected. We got no RS6 Avant, but did get the S6 Avant.

I reckon they can get more power of the V6. Why don't they let some british Engineers, find more juice out of it.

Since British Engineers in Hampshire, found more juice in Evo 8 engines. Then maybe they can get the V6 up to 700BHP or 800BHP. :)

At which point it'd be completely hellish to drive. That much power isn't necessary. I'm sure if they'd wanted to they could get more from it, but they probably think that 575 is a good area and i'm willing to take their word for it ;)

British Engineers would be able to take the speed limiter off for it to be sold mate.

I don't know why but I look at those cars and I just think they looked riced :nervous:

They're such dull looking cars that have had massive kits stuck on them. Though I do admit the engine power is very impessive.

That's not really relevant to what i said. And if it is speed limited, anyone would be able to take it off, not the just fine engineers in Britain :D

No, they don't. The last gen Passat 4 motion had the full time TORSEN differential, as it was based off the A4 platform. Now, the A4, A6 and A8 all have the TORSEN still, but the new Passat has to make do with a HALDEX differential, which sends power to the rear only if absolutely necessary. It's FWD in all other cases. The TT, and A3 also have the HALDEX.

I thought so on the Audis.

Now go look for an Audi S6 sedan, none of those either. I've seen one RS6, a sedan, and several S6s, all Avants.

You do see the wheels, I've seen RS4 wheels on normal A4 1.8Ts.
