Ok, for those that cant get into the competition of the teams, heres the challenge for those that want to see how they compare.
Here are the rules.
No more than 60,000 credits to spend including the car purchase and oil change.
Only sport tires can be used or the tires that came with the car.
Any mod you can do, do it but not to exceed the 60,000 limit.
The track is Midfield and need to have times posted by Wednesday of next week.
No money involved, just bragging rights for the winner.
Reply here if this is acceptable to all interested.

If I can give any input on car selection, check out each cars power to weight ration your thinking about buying. Use the weight of the vehicle to select also.
This is how I did it and came within 3 seconds of the winner. Now if only my driving will improve. :haha:
Good luck and keep trying. There are some good cars out there.

Thanks for the interest in the challenge.
Your time puts you in 4th place and not bad at all.
Its tough driving the Mazda on standard tires but I still got third place finish, not bad for me. Heh, beats the last place finish for me on the last contest. ;)

driving a Mustang aint that easy either dude specially on them hard turns. its a pain in the ass. it slides with out the damn suspension or the sliks

Im really sorry Misnblu for not competing, but if you don't mind, can you please compete in my competition, it's called "Japan Manufacturing Competition" it also has a limit, of 200,000 credits.:)

We'll see gts-r Man. ;)
Im not sure of the time I have as there is a big weekend coming up for me and my car club.
Its Auto Rave time and the Mississippi Coast Coliseum. *yay*
Any kind of import, domestic, classic, stereo competition type of car will be there and will be a yearly thing for us.
Ill be there most of the day Saturday and Sunday, a day of rest. :D
Ill check out the challenge anyway. This may be interesting.
Oh, on the Mustang, the SVT I have was a handful without super soft tires on it. Man, the suspension on that thing still sucked, even with all the mods. ;)
It won many races so I guess you get used to it.

Hi guys, I haven't posted to this forum before but I was with the GTspeedleague and GTpro boards for a while run by ALT and Dolby but I gave it up when everybody moved to GT3 and PS2 which I didn't have at the time.
Well now I have, for about a month, and I thought i'd try my skills at this just to see how i'd go.
I went for the Camaro SS with Sports sus., Racing muf., Sports rom, Stage 2 tune and lightweight stage 2, total cost $58180 after the oil change.
My best time was 1:15:554.... as I say I was just having a go and I realise that the comp is over and unfortunately I have no way at the moment to verify this time but it was just for a bit of fun.

Havagood1!

Congrats on the excellent time man and welcome to the Planet. ;)
For a beginner, your good. ;)

i gotta check out that SS, seems faster than the rx7.

i think ill be able to handle the corners of SS11 better, though.

In relative terms i'm not really a beginner, at least not with the GT game as a whole, just ask Dolby, but if it makes me look better i'll be happy to wear it.
