. . .

It means that it will be worse than speed channel compared to itv.

you want to know how bad? how about announcers going, "wow! did you see that? cool!" over everything. car smokes the tires into the pits, remind us about horsepower, car turns, remind us that the drivers concentrate really hard. oh i could go on. sorry if you guys have it worse but i'm still moaning

Speed Channel at least still have the F1 Vets announcing... ABC is a bunch of jokers. The live is still on Speed Channel, the tape delay is on ABC....

Dang! I wish they still had the Quebec one on speedvision, that is one of the best tracks!

AAAAHHHHHHH!!!!   I really don't think this will make F1 any more popular here. People want their NASCAR, and many seem to turn their nose up at the mention of Formula 1 (most people in my area don't even know what it is).

What the hell is it with V8 tintops? And you guys race the frikkin' things on ovals!

Foxtel cover Nascar live here - it really is the motorsport equivalent to one day cricket. You can ignore it all day, because all the action happens in the last lap.

And what is it with the 600 mile races? What form of torture is this? Welcome to the 'Will-It-Ever-End 600!'.

And what is it with the constant shots of all the cars rushing past the camera? I mean, it's cool once, maybe twice a race, but not every lap.

Stock shot until the next crash...

I would be willing to bet my life's savings of credits that ABC will not show Monza or Monaco live. Somehow, they value that 7:30am time slot on Sunday mornings....Joe and Mary Sixpack would have a fit if some tele-evangelist wasn't on the tube at that hour.

Expect a chopped-up and re-packaged one hour GP of Italy; which when you cut out commercials and advertisements is about 1hr 5min. No biggie, except that Monaco is almost always 1hr 50min. So it looks like 1989 all over again, where ABC fed us Americans a 30-minute version of the race. They got a nasty letter from me in which I got no response.
