I was reading up on tunes and it seems like alot of people do the CR on the 69 RM but to be honest i have horrible experience with Chassis reinforcement except on FF cars. I always thought it made the cars handle like bricks on ice.

So does anyone know if the car is better with it or without it?

I also used my only matte black paint on the car so if it's ruined and i have to buy a new one i won't have a flat black maro again

I've got about a combined 6,000 miles on my '69 Camaro RM's, and I've done a little bit of testing with the CR. I've found that I don't notice a huge difference when the car is still pretty new, but as the miles rack up, the reinforcement keeps the car tighter, allowing me to set up the suspension looser which in turn makes me faster. After you get about 3,000 miles on one and you do a chassis rebuild, you'll notice a huge difference in handling, if you've got the reinforcement then the difference isn't quite as noticeable. I guess it depends on your driving preference, if you like to set your suspension loose, the CR will allow you to take your adjustments further. If you'd rather set up the suspension tight, it may be better to leave the CR off, and that will allow the chassis to be a bit more forgiving with the already tight setup.

Now your opening up a whole 'nother discussion. Lol. I've ran 1:10.xxx laps at Deep Forest with springs around 13/12, and matched the lap time with springs around 6/5. All the settings and the chassis reinforcement are very dependent on personal preference and driving style. Look in here, this may be helpful:

And I wanna add, I very much prefer the chassis reinforcement on the Z, and most of the people I've raced with it agree.

I recently did a Chassis refresh on my 69 RM. It threw me off badly how the car handled different. I am so use to how the car handles now I never do a rebuild. I guess I could be faster if I got use to it being refreshed more often however.
