It was doing a practice launch, not attempting a burnout.

Based on the first launch of the Supra, and how close it was when the actual race started up until it let off I'd say it had somewhat of a chance. Either way not much stands up to a 10 second Camaro running off alcohol/nitromethane. That thing sounded like ****. I've ridden tractors that sounded better than that.

I know the Supra didnt really try but he prob figured out that he didnt have a chance in hell after the 60 foot mark.

That road was pritty damn narrow too,, look at all the idiots that park their car next to the road too.

I would put the blame on the Camera not the cars. The mic on the camera sucks.
The cam lift in that camaro is like .500 -.502

So go play with your tractor.

I wouldn't blame the camera, or the mic. I'd blame the mulletmobile. The Supra sounded perfectly normal, and it was filmed using the same camera, and mic.

And as far as the Supra giving up because he thought he didn't stand a chance. I have never seen somebody just give up in a streetrace, or any race for that matter - especially that early when it's not clear who has the advantage yet. Why would he give up when they're dead even? I think it's quite obvious something went wrong.

So are mine. I had to go watch this on my Dad's computer so I could hear it good. All I have on my computer right now is headphones(huge, good one's, though).

BTW- Don't think I'm talking **** on the Camaro when I refer to it as a 'mulletmobile'. I've owned 2 Camaro Z28's, although LT1/LS1's, and loved them. A friend of mine used to have a 900hp 69SS before he sold it. He drove his mom's Lexus for a year, then bought a '02 SS a few months ago.

the surpa came across as NA to me, and almost bone stock....
even a bpu supraTT wouldnt stand a chance in a drag race between that car, not many street cas would....the camaro had one hell of a driver....

and yes i do believe the supra gave up, he prob just asked/provoked the guy to race to see what the car had...ive seen it done and ive tried it, cept im not as believable in my 91 eclipse gs auto( i have been asked if its a gsx/gst before to bad im honest, i might have got a run..) but at least i have the 2.0 hehe....

A very good point. Any kid that sees a Supra bows before it.
But theirs a good side to it,,, Its so much fun to see the look on peoples faces when you smoke an Icon or car of their dreams.
