Hello Guys, my 1080p 32" tv had recently died on me due to lcd back light failure. (I still have it and may fix it) The part to fix it costs around 250 dollars. For that much I went ahead and got another 32" lcd tv that has 2 extra hdmi ports but only goes to 720p. With both tv's being 32 inches will I even see a worse picture as far as video games go on the new 720p?? Sadly my xbox died and i left my ps3 over my cousin's house so i cant tell right now lmao. On top of that I forgot what 1080p looks like while gaming. Should I just fix the 1080p tv? My main concern is the picture quality while playing GT5 of course. Also the title needs to be fixed on this thread lol. I meant 720p not 7200

You won't really notice the difference with a 32" TV. I think 1080P is only useful when you go pass 40".

Sweet, thanks man. Its weird because this new tv seems to have better coloring and images as far as hooking it up to my computer.

For 720p games, of course not; for 1080p games, yes, though by how much depends upon how close you sit to the screen.

If you sit close to it, 1080p shall be better than 720p.

Since you have both Tvs, you can test for yourself which one is better.

Also remember that a lot more comes in the way of picture quality besides pixels per inch (like contrast, response time, color accuracy, etc.).

Peace

And the fact most games are 720p anyway

If you have a proper 1080p TV, it will upscale the 720p signal, which will result in a better quality (note the word "proper"). The size also doesn't matter that much, I've seen the difference, even on 24" displays you can notice it, of course it depends on the distance, but it's quite easy: More pixels=better.

Also remember that a lot more comes in the way of picture quality besides pixels per inch (like contrast, response time, color accuracy, etc.).
Definitely true, there are also 1080p TVs which have a worse picture quality than 720p TVs, but nowadays it's not that bad anymore (fortunately).

They say that it won't matter unless you get obscenely close, but i beg to differ. Jagginess bothers the hell out of me in 720P, but I don't notice it nearly as much as in 1080P. Just my opinion, though, you should head out to a store and see for yourself sometime
