'95-'98 Eagle Talon/Mitsubishi Eclipse

Does anyone know why GT series has yet to include the AWD turbo versions of the Eagle Talon/Mitsubishi Eclipse?

In every version of Gran Turismo that had these cars, it's always been the ESi/GS (FF, non-turbo), instead of the fantastic TSi/GSX (AWD turbo) trim.

Every decision made in GT5's production had a reason, are there any publicly known factors that could've caused this? (licensing from another game?, problems with the Eagle brand?, etc)

It's doubly strange when you notice that miatas, rx-7s, skylines, and lancer evos have every possible trim/year.

I've always been a fan of the TSi/GSX, when I was originally turned on to turbo imports back in the day, and ironically enough, GT1 was what gave me a real passion for cars and driving/racing.

They're somewhat rare. The FF models are more common and typically more popular because of this. You also have the option of driving the similar evolution. I am guessing it wasn't included for those reasons.

Also PD probably couldn't make it as realistic in game as you'd never be able to race it as it would be broken down most of the time.

I had three of these cars 1 a GS and two a GST back in the day all three a 95 version.. And have always wanted the GSX version. Oh and none of mine were never broke down. Did a lot of top end work and turbo upgrading on all of mine.

Didn't know if you knew but the non turbo versions had crysler motors and the turbo versions had Mitsu motors. So yeah the non turbo's had a motor that was not up to par ths the turbo version.

Ahh wut ever..they dont even have the name right, they never made a 2g turbo that was a GT only GST and GSX. Ive owned 5 of these cars and dont know why GT hasnt put it in correctly especially a 2gb model(97-99).

I'm fairly sure I saw an Eclipse in the UCD at one time. I know that the text for it is tacked onto the '54 Corvette...

being a 1g Talon TSi AWD owner, I've wondered the same thing. Why put the ESi, essentially a fancy Dodge Neon, into the game, and leave out the AWD/FWD turbo versions, which are pretty close to being mini, 2-door lancer evos? Makes no sense.

i wish this was included! 94-99 i use to drive a 89 chevy 1500 ext cab with a 5"-7" drop and 17" wheels, back then that was massive. fri-sun in the bed of my truck i drove around with transmissions for DSM AWD cars. I had friends that street raced at the time, no i'm not glorying it very dangerous and something i haven't been involved in for 9 years. Those DSM cars could flat out run, would love to do laps in these cars.

..and then blow up.

It puzzles me as well especially being that the description mentions the Awd turbo versions. Also they are missing a miata or two FYI. Namely the nb turbo mazdaspeed and the prht nc miata.

I want those two versions of the Talon/Eclipse in. They were so much fun in FM3 and I can't have fun with em here :(

Different regions get differently named trim levels.

They called the GSX the GSR-4 in Japan, so maybe the GS-T was called the GT? Couldn't find any documentation to prove it in 5 minutes of google search, so this is pure speculation, but something to consider.
