A-class car recommendations?

Anyone got any recommendations for A-class cars? The R8 4.2 is utterly useless. I have a decent Audi S4, it does quite well for an AWD car. I've also got a grip tuned 360 Modena and a Vanquish that I gave full slicks and handling upgrades as well as stage 2 weight reduction. My E63 with sticky tires is also pretty good. They drive well, but they're not great. The AWD cars are generally slow in a straight line and all my RWDs are quite lairy and prone to throttle oversteer; anyone know of any RWD A-class cars that are decently easy to drive?

360cs is the best handling car outright, but is it within the class? Maybe also try a nsx type r, just need street tires and more power.

Oh yeah, forgot about the NSX. I have a fantastic B class one. I'm afraid it'll be just as prone to power oversteer as my other A class cars though if I upgrade it.

I wonder if the Mercedes 190E Evolution would make for a good A class car? It's got the grip for it.

Anything with 400hp or less and sports tires should be absolutely idiot proof on power,

But it will be strictly a grip build, for a power build just try something with fat rear and longer gearing, mercs are fine, the better your control the more cars you can drive though, throttle control isn't that hard.

never tried the 190E personally, could have potential.

Is this for World Tour races? I just do an M.Rossi and whack the F430 into the A-Class races. I used to use a modified Subaru 22B STi but it was way too slow on any length of straight.

One of my most dominant A-class cars in World Tour is the Ferrari GTO prize car. Very easy to drive fast, and still looks and sounds good while doing it.

Some others that have worked well for me are the Z8, Evora, CLK55, Z4 M Coupe, and 575M.

Personally, I love my M3. With reduced weight, a wee bit more power, grippy tyres and the Forza Aero. A blast to drive and equally fast if tuned well.

I have a list that is very long for A class cars, but I am not sure what kind of driver you are. I tend to jump in my ZO6 for A class but I love RWD big power, I also like hearing the rear exhaust pop of my 500+hp G35 in A class as well....but im just a nut.

I personally use my Acura NSX the most. However, it's quite difficult for me to find my perfect setup. I really get the car to turn well and leave my rivals there, but exiting might be a problem then. As NSX is one of the most succesful cars in handling IRL, I think it's got some potential, just I didn't find it yet, because I suck at tuning :D

All in all, it's pretty balanced car as it has quite good NA engine response and medium power and can take these turns like a boss. All this from my personal experience tho :)

Hmm....

Well, my A class car, I admit, is not a pure A-class, but instead it is a Lotus Exige. Why? It handles great, and it accelerates exeptionally fast. Plus, it's the sickest Inline 4 sound you'll ever hear.

I use a Lamborghini Countach. It was a prize car and it's awesome. Makes for some interesting races against M. Rossi in his F430. Had to shunt him off the track earlier after he rear-ended me!

Oni
Cadillac CTS-V is pretty good stock, I really enjoyed it!

I tuned one for A class for Road America. Up to nearly 640hp, minor weight reduction, suspension. Can't remember what I did for the tires. Probably the ones below slicks, and as much rear width as possible, then as much front width as allowed by the PI.

I generally run max front downforce and then tune the rear based on if the car wants to slide too much mid-corner. Usually 125lbs is my starting point there. Then run some hotlaps on a circuit with plent of left and right turns and add some camber until the tires are heating evenly across. I'll add .2 degrees of toe-in at the rear if I need more stability.

So it seems just about any car can be a great a car depending on how you race. ....I love this game. Having a great time buying cheap cars and putting them in A and B class.

But its a good car, which i was surprised really, for what i got!

I personally recommend the C6 Corvette Grand Sport. The handling is simply superb and the stock power is in the perfect range for almost any track.

Lotus 2-Eleven.....not as quick in a straight line, but super quick through the corners, but thats a reoccuring theme with my cars. :) Another....well....different choice is the Sierra Cosworth, really nice to drive but youve got to widen the rears a little bit (even better when its wearing vintage group A warpaint)

I use the Mustang GT500 or the Camaro SS, both seem to do the job nicely.
