Remember when I made a thread about how 🤬 GT6 was? Well, now I've updated the game (which took 13 hours) and I'm going to review it again.

PART ONE - OVERALL, IT'S GOOD, DAVE
The game hasn't changed that much since it was unupdated, but it's has fixed many things. The currency is less bad, MidField is back (but no SSR11) and I think that some cars have been upgraded to Premium. This game has gone from (in my opinion) the worst GT game to the third best (after GT4 and GT3).

PART TWO - ONLINE MULTIPLAYER
I entered a lobby today and played for 3 hours straight, no stopping, adding 3 people to my friends list along the way. The online multiplayer is almost exceptional but still has a few connection bugs. I now play the game just for the online stuff because of that.

PART THREE - STANDARD, SHERLOCK?
There's still 800 Standard cars. And I couldn't care less.

PART FOUR - 20 CARS: ARE YOU STILL JOKING, KAZ
Arcade mode still needs more courtesy cars in it. 20 is not enough. 50's better. 100 is just about right.

I'll be continuing this thread at a later date. I'm too tired.

I think I can remember the original thread but it might be an idea to refresh peoples memories on what you said in it.

It seems the updates have revitalized things for you and I couldn't agree more about the online side of things. The rest of the faults are easily forgotten when you get to test yourself in online races against other people.

Here is the old thread. You'll be able to compare my thoughts now to the ones back then.

I agree with you - I soon forgot about the online bugs because of how much fun drivng around Apricot Hill in an X2014 Junior with other people was.

I had a similar experience, GT4 was GREAT! and l had a lot of fun withGT5,
but when l got GT6 l HATED it!!!!!!!!!!!! it was horrible!!! they give you money then force you to buy a car you detest?!?!?!?!
I quit at that point, and went Back to playing 4&5, tried 6 a few more times after buying another car l liked and selling the POS that was forced upon me without ever driving it, didn't like the PP system, hated the childish "stars" and gave up on GT6 for good,or so l thought, (this was on a borrowed PS3) after getting a console and connecting it to PSN l decided to update GT6 and give it another try, HUGE improvement !!!! NOW it is a great game!!! still has issues, but nothing is perfect.

GTA5 isn't perfect and look how good it is now! I agree, many games improve over time, GT6 and GT5 are part of that.

EDIT
Right, so, here's the next part of the reviewed review! I've got the old thread open so I can compare my thoughts back then to now.

PART FIVE - SOUNDS
Albeit they are still the worst engine sounds ever made, I do like how they sound. The X2014 Junior, for example, has a simply magnificent engine note. The menu sounds are also nice. The 'back' sound is like the sounds from GTA Vice City's pause menu.

PART SIX - HERE's YOUR GOLD STAR, TIMOTHY, FOR BEING A GOOD BOY
I still don't agree with the star system but I like how it is used. It's sort of a refurbishment of GT5's level system. However, my opinion on Power Points has changed massively. I now very much like the system and find it exceptionally useful when deciding what car to buy, especcially when it shows ---- for the BHP rating.

PART SEVEN - TRACKS AHOY, M'HEARTY!
I like the tracks in GT6. I really do. However, Some tracks seem a bit odd, like Midfield Raceway. I don't like the post thing at the start line and I really don't like the fact they made another one for the reverse version. In my opinion, there should be no reverse tracks.

The names of the tracks have gone a bit... weird. Clubman Stage Route 5 is now called Special Stage Route 5 Clubman and Gran Turismo Arena has Layout A and that's it.

PART EIGHT - THE SUBJECT OF MONEY
Money is slightly less horrible than it was at the start. I got around my money issues by buying money with real money - a system that Rockstar invented before them but PD has done it better by making it less of a nessessity. I still don't agree with paying for money, though.

And that's my fully reopinion-ised review of Gran Turismo 6.

No reverse tracks? A reversed track is completely different to the regular way of running it. Midfield in particular is a great track to run in reverse and turn one is epic running it that way.

As for money, say hello to quick match. I've earned close to 1.5 billion credits doing those with 500 million earned in the last 3 or 4 months. The new Deep Forest quick match is one of the more popular races where a win will net you over 1 million in a full room and a room with 4 or 5 people in will still get you around 300k, even if you come last. If anything, the amount of credits being awarded is getting a bit excessive. As in money is no object and cars become disposable.

Thanks for pointing that out for me. I should start doing quick mathches - I never knew you could get money from them!

I agree with what you say about reverse tracks but I do think that they take too much space on the disc. Perhaps they could have a vote on the most popular ones and keep them in and replace the other reverse tracks with others ones like (Please, Kaz, please) RRVS and SSR11, and Valencia.

Online Seasonals for the win bro. Plus when you sign in to PSN consecutive days your credits multiply from Day 1 to 5 by greater amounts up to 200% by day 5. You soon earn much more credits than you can handle, often earning an easy 1,000,000 plus credits per pop. How easier can it get?

The Quick Matches don't bother me much, I don't even bother with them. The bi-weekly on going Online Seasonals is the way to go (plus with additional 200% credits per win). The Seasonals are pretty exciting too and are well participated by a huge amount of people worldwide, pretty much thousands.

The K-Car Cup on Quick Match for me gave 330,000 Cr per race, and that was with 150% Log-In Bonus. The trouble with that race is onmy about six people in the world play it.

You can download RRVS & SSR11 replicas from my track's page to get your fix until PD decide to make them.

Check out the white icons under each quick match to see how popular the race is. The more white icons lit, the busier the race is. Deep Forest is especially busy with it being a tuned race and a track that everyone enjoys.
