A few Bspec questions

Kinda new to GT5 BSpec and its a lot different from GT4. First of all why is it that I can get a car and enter a race and win by half a lap in ASpec, put Bob in the same car, same race, and he finishes in last place, I know he isn't very high level but that's a huge difference.
Second and somewhat related question, some of you have stated you completed all the bspec races with gold..how in the heck do you do that considering what a bad driver he is in the beginning.
Lastly when you change the pace a little c shaped thing comes up and ticks down, what is that supposed to indicate? and also when you change pace does that pace remain in effect until you issue a different one?
That's about it for now. Just having a terrible time getting him to level up and/or win races..it's like I need to put him in a fully modified BMW racing against stock Lupo's before he can win anything

1. Practice. Lots of tuning and practice. Your Bob isn't as ballsy as you are, obviously.
2. Commands to Bob last for 30 secs or so, as indicated by "that c shaped thing". It's a timer, more or less.

The pace they are running is indicated by the cold/hot meter. The hotter they are, the more risks they take. If you have a crappy driver who is weak in body and mind, they will start to make terrible mistakes early. Make sure to put them in a car that is easy for them to control, give them as few commands as possible, and tune their car.

Hopefully when you created your drivers, you gave them good braking/handling/accuracy levels and didn't just accept the first driver the game gave you.

I recently ran the Laguna Seca enduro back-to-back, firstly in A-Spec and then in B-Spec. I used the identical lightened and tuned SRT '08 (approx 540bhp) in both as I already had it and it was ready to go.

I won by +7 laps. My two best Bobs (C.Bass & B.Egger) won by... 11 secs! The main reason is that human drivers will go close to flat out (I now I do) most of the time and run constant lap times (around 1:27.xx, tyre condition dependent). On the other hand the Bobs, who are set quite 'hot', will back off once they are clear of the field, mainly running 1:45.XX laps. The AI cars will catch back up and only then will they pick up the pace. I'm sure if they wanted to they could have run closer to my times, they just want to make more of a race of it! :sly: Well, that's what I tell myself...

BTW, I have never coached either of these two Bobs and they are by far the fastest I have, much faster than my cooler ones who I made my mistakes with when I started GT5.

When I coach and know I can lap the guy behind me, I will do so then let him drive on his own. I'd like the 1 lap buffer in case something stupid happens (pitting last lap because of bad gas calc, etc).

Yep odyss3y, I've had a few close calls! It is weird though that my two best Bobs are the one's I've never coached. Could just be good luck or coincidence.
