A few G25 questions

Hi, i've owned a DFP for a while and have decided to upgrade to the G25.
But before i buy i have a few questions for you existing G25 users.

1. Pedal width and length.(cause i have restricted area)
2. Wheel Base width and length(Needs to fit on playseat classic)
3. Where can i buy the playseat holder for the G25 shifter in the UK, and will it fit on the orignal playseat .

4/ How good is the shifters(behind wheel) when going down about 5 gears in 1 sec.

too bad im not home rite now, i would give you all the dimensions you need
so far i think it will fit into playseats classic, i just got the plaseats evolution and it fits right on the money

umm... some sites say that the Gear shift extender fits only on the EVOLUTION chair, other sites claim it will fit in the classic chair. i was looking all over that gear extantion ( in the US) and others told me its now worth the money, since the sifter is so far away from the wheel. so i use a small garage chair and i can place the gearshifter anywere i desire. so first experiment with alternatives, and if u dont like the alternatives then get the shifter expander. but remember you will save lots of money on that overpriced lil thing

1. Dunno, I'm in the States and can't find a metric tape measure. Maybe I'll go look harder in a bit.
2. ~18cm x ~26cm
3. Uhm... online maybe?
4. The paddle shifters on the G25 are stainless steel, and very responsive. 5 downshifts in a second is really fast, but the G25 will do it.

1 approx 40 cm L by 30 W
2 approx 26cm W by 18 deep
Not too sure what a classic looks like, Ive got the one where the back folds in 2 (newer model). The baseplate that holds the wheel is triangular in shape and takes the DFP or the G25. However the shifter doesnt fit.

"hitech" solution: 1 loose plywood board 55/25/2 cm stuck between metal 'dfp'-base of the seat and the wheel-clamps. Clamps hold it down nicely. Then fix the shifter to same plywood board.
Does it look great, no!
do I care... no, not yet
does it work, for me, yes

The floppy paddle thingies are fast.

Give that a try, you can always upgrade later.

I found a website(after about an hour of searching) that is in the Uk and costs £ 23 delivered compared to the £50 -odd pounds on the Playseat website. Also can get the wheel from Dell.com for £145

umm yes G25 has a clutch and yes it is working, but it all depneds on software ( games that support it)

The shifter feels stiff and mediocre in sequelmode and in H mode it´s quite easy to get wrong gear becuse the size of the shifter. Much better to use the paddels behind the wheel.

I have a G25 question of my own:

I take it the G25 doesn't have a hand brake, right? How do people get around that? It would feel awkward to drift pressing a button....And is there any rumor that Kaz would like to make improvements on the wheel for the release of GT5 (Hopefully including a hand brake)?
