A Fun Evening

On Saturday evening I went to a place in the Atlanta suburbs called Malibu Grand Prix (ZC, you probably know of it). It's your regular go-cart, bumper-boats, arcade, bad food (that tastes good) place, except for the one defining feature: The Virage Grand Prix Cars!

These cars are F-1 cars (not the real deal, but they look damn good). They go maybe 70-90 mph tops, and you go around this long, twisty race track (just like the real thing). It's quite a rush, skidding around the corners and jumping the sides of the track! You are probably going 60 mph most of the time because you have to go around so many tight turns. That might not seem fast, but in an open cockpit low-riding car going around 90 degree angles its quite a good time.

Just thought I'd share that story. Oh yeah, I went on the go-carts (that go maybe 30 mph) about 6 times.

Good times. ;)

Cool!

I like a bit of karting myself, not to the same levels as some of the people I've seen posting at GTP, but I like it nonetheless. Haveing said that, I only like the twin-engined (70mph) karts, because the singles don't have enough power to shift my lardy frame round, and I get beaten by stick insects that can't drive!
