THANX schmocke: 👍
But I definitely don't need that thing. Running thru a DVI cable right now & everything looks fine, just wanted to use my old Monster cables if I could. Checked ebay & they're not worth much anymore.

750w for a system that probably draws less than 400w? Why?
Unless things have drastically changed in the last 2 years, you'd want a PSU that will work in it's optimal efficiency range when loaded. He could get away with much less than 750 and even less than the 650 he has. Futureproofing is not part of this equation.
If you put his components into this: http://www.thermaltake.outervision.com/Power
then you'll see that recommended PSU wattage is 591W. And Recommended PSU is 750W.

Cool. The ones I used for my numbers be got differ.
Let's just leave it at that and move on.

EDIT
What components did you enter because I got 425w recommended using standard mobo/4770/gtx660/2x sata hdd/2x dvdr/ 5fans

No, you are correct. :)
I had apparently in my haste mistaken physical CPUs for number of cores and selected 4.

So yes, around 400W would be correct. 👍

MORE HELP NEEDED #2!!! Changed lots around since last post. Now have my driving seat in the House for the first time! 👍 NO more miserable cold winters & miserable hot summers trying to drive out in my workshop! Couldn't resist trying AC this a.m. Fun so far but canNOT for the life of me get Force Feedback to work on my DFPro! Checked the video a few posts above but it just confused me even more. Any helpful hints???
MANY THANKS...O.G.

Stupid question, but I'm gonna assume you installed the Logitech drivers for your wheel? I only ask, because I'm under the assumption you're coming from a console background? This could be something a person would overlook.

MANY THANX MonSpaNur & Paul33993!! 👍👍
Installed drivers this a.m. & now I have FFB! Spent a coupla hours learning Monza in the BMW GT3 ride, what a BLAST! Still need to fine tune the DFPro but it'll do just fine until I can afford the Fanatec set-up of my dreams.

I don't think there's any such thing as a "Stupid question", just "Stupid answers" on occasion. Thanks to you asking & me re-watching MonSpaNur's video, problem solved! THANX Again...O.G.

MORE HELP NEEDED #3

My "Latest" problem: Until I can afford my dream Fanatec set-up I'm using my old Logitech DFPro from GT3-GT4. With a little "fiddling" I've been able to make it work well enough to start learning some of the courses. Only thing bad is that without a Clutch, I canNOT get my ride to "Launch"? Have tried everything I can think of & it just bogs horribly at the starting line. Opponents put a quick 100-200 meters on me before I even get rolling.
Any advice will be much appreciated! Many THANX...O.G.

Maybe you are doing something wrong? When I drive a car with paddles in AC I rev it up around 60-70% and get to 1st gear right after green lights up. I always win 3-4 positions before the first corner this way.

Hi Igano:
Man I "Wish" that was the case! Bad enough starting last but then it takes most of the race until I can even challenge the back markers! I got a coupla suggestions over at the AC Forum I'm going to try. Will let you know what I find out.
Many THANX...O.G.

EDIT:

O.K.
Thanx to an answer @ AC Forum I turned "OFF" Traction Control & the problem disappeared! Made the car MUCH more difficult to control however but am learning to "Smooth" my throttle input. Even on Soft Slicks it feels like I'm on ice!

That seems weird, I can't believe TC made things so difficult that you would stay behind every one 200 meters at the start.

Hiya FuzzyFassbender !

I have to keep reminding myself that as Great as AC is, it's still an early release. I'm sure they'll catch all the issues before final release, which leads me to:

MORE HELP NEEDED #4

Has anyone else tried to "Re-Fuel"??? I toggled fuel usage to "ON" & doubled the length of a race I was playing with. Drove thru the pits exactly 1/2 way thru the race & expected something to happen? BUT, nothing happened & I did indeed run out two laps later??? Seems kinda weird that they'd enable fuel usage & NOT allow you to add more? Am I missing something???
Many THANX...O.G.

Well, short answer. Pit stops arent in the game yet. :)

THANX JvM: 👍
But here's something "Verrrrry Strange" I discovered this a.m. Tried another race w/10 opponents & pitted at the end of the first lap. Sure enough, out of 20+ "Pit Boxes" only the last 11 [towards the Start/Finish Line end of the pits] were "Ready for Action"! Yesterday when I tried to stop for gas only 4 had tyres & cones set out [four cars in that race], so I think fuel stops may be getting close! Seems the pits are at least "Aware" of how many racers are on the track! I'll take that as an encouraging sign! Many THANX...O.G.

What do you think of the 599 evo? :)

Hiya Igano!
I haven't driven it yet. I know, I'm a :dunce: ! Spent my very first session in the little Fiat, ran a VERY few laps in the KTM, old Lotus F-1 & Ferrari F-40, then discovered the BMW Z4 GT3 & M3 GT2 👍👍 Didn't even realize the update that took so long to download a few days ago included the McLaren MP4 12C GT3! Spent a while this a.m. doing 10 lappers around Mugello, LOTS of fun! Haven't even looked in the Lotus "showroom" yet, bound to be some Kool stuff in there! Now if they'd just do a Lancia Stratos I wouldn't need any more new rides! [Just Kidding!] ...O.G.

I like mugello a lot too! Drive that evo you will remember me ;)

Will Do! 👍 Bad weather coming, hopefully I'll get in a good session tomorrow a.m...O.G.

EDIT: Well Igano, all I can say is "Wow"!!! That thing is worth driving just for the SOUND! 👍 Handling is a little "Spooky" with my aged & decrepit reflexes! I have a difficult time keeping the rear end where I want it. Must say that my favorite ride so far is the BMW M3 GT2, it suits my driving style [or LACK thereof] just fine. Managed to win two 10 lappers today [one each @ Mugello & Imola] against two identical rides, two BMW Z4 GT3s & five McLaren racers. Of course I only had the difficulty set @ 86%! Hope I'm NOT screwing things up for when I finally get my Fanatec by driving w/DFPro!?!? Many THANX...O.G.

MORE HELP NEEDED #5

Hiya Guys,
Just returned from yet another road trip to SoCal & discovered what a Dunce :dunce: I am. Right before I left I gleaned a diff set-up somewhere on the forum that made my BMW M3 GT2 handle MUCH better. I used it, loved it BUT forgot to save it & now can't find it again. Any help would surely be appreciated.
Many THANX...O.G.

EDIT: Finally found what I needed [after HOURS of searching] in a post by BigBazz on the first page of the Hotlaps Leaderboard thread. Only a search for "Coast" finally found it! Also I remembered it being in chart form :dunce: instead of being in the middle of a paragraph. THANX Bigbazz...works GREAT! 👍 Have taken 1+ seconds off my best Laps at every venue.

Haha I do this everytime I turn on ac it's so annoying, but yeah your best bet is searching how you did last time and with some luck you will find it again.👍

Goodluck with your search my ac has felt off for the past couple days due to this exact same problem, luckily I managed to fix it last night and remembered to save Haha
