I work at a medium sized grocery store (Kroger if anyone was wondering) and also went to Paramount Kings Island yesterday (No evening service) and since now it is summer time and most of all the schools are on summer break now...that gives guys and girls the chance to show it off! :grumpy:

I cannot stand it when a guy OR a girl is dressed un-modestly because

1. Draw un-wanted attention to them (IMO)
2. Can be a distraction

The last thing i want when im working and concentrating on something is some 13-17 year old girl dressed like she walked out of a whore-house...ugh :ill:

The reason i also don't like un-modesty on older girls is because i do not want to be distracted and you guys know my beliefs on lust.

IMO, it is not modest when lust happens (good rule at my high school was if it did not reach the tip of your fingers [arms down of course] the skirt/shorts were too short.

And crack=bad for both guys and girls if I see

Also, i don't care much to see guys cracks and such

Just had to rant there for a bit...now to GTP...what do you guys think of guys and/or girls dressed un-modestly and where do you draw the line when it is modest or not modest?

What are your thoughts on people who are dressed un-modestly?

If a girl can take wear revealing clothes and looks good in it you won't hear me complain. I don't mind a little distraction here and there. Girls below 18 shouldn't be dressed like a prostitute, no, but not all revealing clothes look like how a prostitute would dress. It isn't up to me to decide what they wear though, that's their parents' responsibility.

If someone is 18+ and wears revealing clothes I don't mind it at all, as long as no genitals or entire breasts are exposed I don't see why you should worry about it unless you're fat and your own body looks too ugly to show off with. :D I rather see it the way we do it in the western world than having women walk around with burkas because they would look whorish otherwise.

I agree with you that people should not dress as trashy. It's kind of reached a low point. I personally don't have anything against lust, but I think that many younger girls might need to learn that eliciting lust from many guys is not a great thing to do. I dunno, I'm attracted to the hot girls but at the same time it's 1000x better when you meet a nice cute girl who you get along with really well and who isn't showing off her goods to any bystander.

It really is tasteless, at any age. Add in the truth that at least 70% of the people (both genders) that dress like that probably shouldn't, and I agree with the initial poster, if not his reasoning.

Lust makes the world go round, however, too much of the wrong attention is a bad thing.

I agree #17, as Duke said -- most people who do dress like that really shouldn't.

I mean, I have no beliefs against that sort of thing, I just think it looks tasteless most of the time. I'll usually pay more attention to the well dressed beautiful girl than the girl who is showing herself off anyway. So their purpose of grabbing attention seems to fail, at least for me.

If I wanted to see tits and ass I'd get on the internet, not go down to my local toy store.

quite a few people look like like so:

take a big wad of dough, put a tight fitting t-shirt over the dough. bake the dough into a loaf of bread, and watch as the bread almost erupts and spills out from around the shirt.

hahaha. it's pretty disgusting. when I was at disney, it was very hot. I can't begin to tell you how many fat, ugly people had so much exposed. i understand the desire to be comfortable in the hot weather, but those legs made ME uncomfortable. bleh.

Anyway, my whole opinion on modesty is that people should be comfortable, while being "covered" enough to let us still use our imaginations. I live in south florida, so you can't really cover all that much without sweating your ass off. in fact, i only have about 2 pairs of non-formal pants. I still think that the warm-dress is somewhat exploited, though. But, not all girls are total slut-bags.

There was a program here in the UK called 'Grumpy Old Men' that made a similar point about girls who wear low-slung jeans and high-riding thongs (and not even GTPlanet thongs either :grumpy: ), and were getting all worked up about the fact that you can't go anywhere these days without seeing atleast one girls underwear. They argued that it was making them 'auto-perverts'... since they had no choice but to 'look' (or atleast 'see') the thong, and if anyone happened to catch them looking, they would be branded the perv, and the girl would be totally blameless...

But I personally am all for girls (and guys) wearing whatever makes them feel good, whether they actually look good or not... but I'm long past the point of getting worked up about it... the reason is simple... there isn't a damn thing you can do about it... people should and do have the right to wear whatever they want. So, if I see a girl (or a guy) dressed in unflattering clothes, it doesn't bother me... but that is only because I have adapted to accept my surroundings, because it ain't going to happen the other way around....

It doesn't phase me either way... what right do I have to tell them or anyone else to put on more clothes?... if I see a kid dressed 'unmodestly' or inappropraitely, it doesn't sicken me or annoy me - I'd just ignore it, whether they look ridiculous or not. If you went up to a bunch of teenage girls in the street in Glasgow, and told them they should put on more clothes because they look too 'unmodest' (although I probably wouldn't put it like that :sly: ), you'd get a smack in the chops... I'm not saying I approve of it, but it doesn't bother me either...

Well, I don't care, everybody how he/she likes it... Well, if I think about it, it probably depends.... you know, there is a differnce between going to school, church, etc and going out in the evening... Hard to draw a line and even harder to control the behavior of everybody... personally I don't care

Anderton Prime already thinks I'm an immature chauvinist jerkface. I'm not going to risk having him really upset with me.

Risk away ..... dont hold back on my account. its summer ...clothes are comming off..sometimes its a good thing ...sometimes its not...thats why you have eye-lids and your capable of actually looking at something else...life is good that way. It gives you choices.

ugh...back to topic...

does it bother you when you are working and you see un-modesty in the workplace, that it can become a distraction and take you away from what yer suppose to be doing?

 now if they look good i dont mind but its the fat girls who wear very little and, well, ew  all hanging out and everything, example:

When I was in the high school, all the freshmen would lust after the whorey juniors.

I don't mind them wearing skirts, but many just love to try and show off cleavege and wear tight shorts or short skirts.

Luckily, Abby is the exact opposite and exactly why I like her.

 👍

At the right places (ie. clubs) I think sluttines is awesome, both for men and women. Showing off skin to be sexy rocks. Complete nudity is a turnoff (if you're not actually having sex) but fit guys dancing topless and good looking girls with see-through tops is just freaking GREAT!

On the other hand, seing someone looking like dressed up for sex at seveneleven monday 10am is a bit weird. Mostly weird, I got no moral problem at all with it but it's a bit out of place.

Couldn't agree more. And I like the bread dough idea! 👍
