TehHO
I'm a new drifter, and i need a good car and a setup - doesn't have to be anything advanced... :-)

Thanks!!

Just type in the search box: new drifter.
thousands of threads about this topic. :s
(maybe a bit exaggerated, but still)

Who needs a topic?

Go race, earn money, buy car, earn more money, buy parts. Done.
Goto GTP/DL/Gran Turismo 5 Drift settings Depot

Pick a tune for you car there. Done

If the tune for your car is not ther; ask for it in the topic.

I hope I have helped you figure out how to do things on your own. I never send anyone cars and tunes that dont take the effort of looking themselves, but if I know you put in the effort; then i'd be more then gladd to help you out with anything giftable..

Buy a RWD car. Now drive it around. These are the first steps, if you can't figure it out there's little hope for you I'm afraid.

Why is everybody being so ignorant. Ill help.
Buy a nissan s13, with around 320 hp. Lsd, double clutch, flywheel, CH tires.

No one's being "ignorant", its just that all the resources are already available to him here in the drift forum, there's no need to hold his hand. When I started drifting I wasn't running around asking what car, how do I tune, why is my car doing this? I figured it out by myself, its not difficult, the amount of options and what-not are very limited in this game and it takes very little time to figure out what does what.

Its like the equivalent of riding a bike. Do we need to pedal and steer for him?No, I'm sure he's completely capable on his own. If not, well...

I was 12 to 13 years old when i started drifting in GT. I figured out how to on my own without any forums to help me. He has got a forum, and like all the others he still asks for what to do. There is a complete settings depot and everything. Like the others said, it's not hard to figure out :)

If the OP was asking for help on how to drift, i would have been there to help him. And i did. But im not giving out cars to people who, as Cro so elequently put it, hold up their hands and hoping for a freebee.

To the OP:
If you get youreself an RWD car, and put on some Comfort Hard tires; you can add me and we'll drift together..
My PSN is in the signature.

I would have gave you one if my friend list wasnt full lol. Try to do the season events, they give big money ! No one really helped me as well before people got to know me.

If you need setups for DS3 cars, I can give you the very best of mine ! Im so going to miss my DS3 Jaguar :(

Re-tune it! It will probably be even more boss!

No never lol. I will never change cars with good specs. I just buy new one's and use the same heigt damper etcetera and I use different toe and camber for it. Thats why I have so many of the same cars. I bet I have 200 premium cars and that there are only 140 different lol. I tuned most of the cars for a track but my jag was pretty universal.

TehHo you got DS3 or a steer ? lol.

I think that the OP doesnt even care about this anymore lol.

Edit : Adavicro, I wished that drifting was as easy as riding as a bike lol.

Because everything is user preference, there are tons of resources in the search button. Now if he really asked a specific question like "Can you help me with this tune ?". The S13 is a good car to start with but there are other RWD cars out there.

Drifting in a game actually is easier than riding a bike, especially on a controller. Riding a bike requires full body control, as silly as that is. If we're talking about wheel drifting, the difficulty level is strictly subjective. I know that it took me at least a week to ride a bike, but only a day or two to hold a smooth drift.

Regardless, this thread is rather useless at this point. Most of these "can you help me" threads made by new users are rarely ever checked up on by the OP.
